It's annoying, like making out in public is annoying. They're talking about having a problem with it at a school dance which is totally reasonable. Do it at the clubs if you must, you'll just look like an idiot.

Ugh.. mental images of the movie "Footloose" come to mind. Personally, I think all of these school administrators need to loosen up a bit. It's not their job to legislate morality.

Hmm, obviously you've never danced like that with a woman on the dance floor, because there aren't too many things that are better than gettin' your groove on to a good beat.

I get my groove on with my woman in the bedroom, I have no need to look like an idiot at the club. We actually just dance at the clubs.

The article is talking about a high school dance:

Now picture the girls burying their faces into a second partner?s midsection or gyrating over him as he lies on the floor.

...yeah idiots.

I'm assuming most high schools still have rules against making out in the school. This really isn't so different.

ROFL.. That article is kinda funny.

I kinda agree with Flavio. Perhaps it's going a bit too far...

Beh...if bumping and grinding with a hot girl is idiotic, then I don't wanna be non-idiotic ;)

And yes, I don't think it should be done at high school dances...I don't even think it should be done in most clubs...but if I'm somewhere where you're allowed to have no inhibitions like Cancun or Ibiza, then try and stop me from "getting my freak on" :)

Woah! You're right next door!

Club Ibiza eh? Get tired of the clubs in the city already? ;)

As for the real Ibiza, I was there for New Year's...and I don't think I can describe the happenings there without getting banned :)

Puyallup High School near Tacoma, Wash., reportedly prohibits dancers from bending over ?more than 45 degrees? ? though chaperons are not equipped with protractors.

Hahahahahah! :D That's classic. Ah, they are just gonna go out to the car and do the nasty and she'll end up pregnant anyway; let'em be!!!!

I caught my 14 year old daughter and her 17 year old boyfriend doing something similar and she told me they were 'dancing'.

Like hell they were dancing!!!!

Needless to say, they are under a much closer watch now. Because, yeah, I don't need them going out to his car and her getting pregnant!

<---doesn't want to be a grandmother before her time

I do think that the "panty check" was wrong, or at least should have been video taped. :p

But seriously, It's a judgement call that is subject to falicy. Of course its going to make it look like the "old people who don't understand" vs. "the kids who are just having a good time". Honestly, we all know why they are dancing like that and what is going through their minds when they are doing it. Personally, I don't grind my crotch in a girl's face because its just something fun to do and I am not thinking of sex.

I think that the schools have every right to throw out people from a social gathering like a dance that they believe is not following the rules or is doing inappropriate things. Just like alcohol, drugs. They have the right to stipulate who can attend and what they can do. Plain and simple. But I wouldn't be so appeasing as to let it go on and spotlight people. You get 3 shots and you are out of the dance. Do it again and you are banned from all school sponsered events (trips, dances, ect) for the semester/year.

Yes, you can't tell them how to dance or what to do, but you can have reign on if it is done at your event/house. They are more than welcome to do it outside or at home.

I was in Denver for a couple days last week, actually Aurora, and went to a Walmart. Now, I'm a perfectly healthy 30 year-old man who only graduated high school 12 years ago, many years after the invention of things like the thong bikini. So its not like I'm some old-fashioned prude who gets offended easily by women showing too much skin.

But GOOD GOD, what the hell is wrong with parents! I saw about 30 girls between the ages of 13 and 17 who were dressed as if they were hookers. Hell, I've seen two-bit street whores dress more tastefully. Several of them made the 'painted-on' Jordache fad look like 19th century conservatism.

It was if they're advertising: "Hi, my name is Sarah, I'm going through puberty...wanna see my new nipples and labia?" I wanted to go buy a coat or something and throw it over them. Their mothers should be slapped.

There is a time and place for everything, including wearing clothing that reveals every nook and cranny of one's body, and Walmart isn't that place.

I love you, you love me...
And at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, the deejay froze the freaking several times during a recent dance by playing the ?Barney? theme song.
What do you know? Barney is good for something after all...

I chaperoned a middle school dance last year, and saw girls (6th to 8th grade) pole dancing using a volleyball net pole while I was there. It was pretty disturbing...:disgust:
