Too much compound on CPU

While cleaning my athlon 64 3000 processor, I got a bit of the compound on the pins of the processor, of course they weren't the outside pins. So I need recommendations on how to clean them off without causing any damage.

A very tiny drop of Isopropyl Rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip will do the trick on outside pins. For inside pins use a Toothpick.
