It's really annoying that I now have to scroll through the forums in the dropdown list. I can't believe we really NEED so many forums considering how little traffic some of them get.

Customize

Remove the ones that you do not want at the bottom of the page from the above link.

Just because you don't like a particular forum, is that a reason to deny everyone a chance to use said forum? Oh, what excellent logic is illustrated by your statement.

Well it's hard to respect your opinions when all you do is complain about Anandtech.
 
And especially hard to respect a dissenting opinion when the complaints are in a very general and broad format, such as the one in this thread. How do you think they're supposed to know what you'd like them to do about it? Perhaps you think SPG should go in with OS, or Peripherals should go in with GH. If you don't actually suggest anything, how do you think they would even be able to consider the possibility (for some reason I don't see either of the two things I mentioned happening, and I personally wouldn't want them to happen). If you're complaining about the war forum, then you're a lone voice amidst hundreds (or more?) of impatient AT'ers who either wanted to be able to have more than two official war threads, or who wanted all the almost-war-related-but-not-quite-enough-to-lock-it threads out of OT.

Additionally, I still don't understand the issue of why just hiding the forums that you don't like in your preferences is such a big problem. Please enlighten me.
 
This is going to be one of those things where you can't please everyone. For every person that says enough is enough, there are others who want more.

That's why the customize feature is there. 🙂
 
I think the new war forum is a great idea and I hope they keep it after the war ends.It would be really nice for our members who enjoy poitical debate to have a forum where they can post without having to worry that nef threads will bump their threads down.

The war forum was an awesome implementation to take the clutter out of OT . . . now IF ONLY we could have a Religious Discussion Forum I COULD HIDE. 😛

Or get pheonix. With Pheonix there is no scrolling and this solution is free (plus pheonix is the best browser evar).

I just went to customize and hid all the forums I never use. Werks fer me.
