Too many cpu choices

My old 939 is on its last legs so I think its time to get something better! I don't really do any gaming but I would like to have the processor to do so if I so choose. I don't really have a preference as to intel or amd I just want to get the best bang for my buck.
I am looking for basically a real good multimedia cpu/mobo combo. I like to play alot of music while internet surfing. Also I zip and unzip alot of things and download ALOT of music at a time. I want something that doesn't bog down when I do things like this and I can get online without everything being slowwww. I do have the fastest comcast so thats not an issue.
I don't really want to buy a vid card but would like the hardware to do so if I chose.

I am not trying to break the bank on this build but I want to do it one time. This last computer has lasted me since forever!!

Ty for helping..

Ooops. Wrong title. But I guess it still works. I will need suggestions on a mobo/cpu combo...
Sorry about that.

I like the e5200 combo at newegg for $112, or the phenom 710 combo at Fry's for $129 (today is the last day for that deal). Either of those 2 will leave you some $$ for a decent video card and ram. Get a 2x2gb kit. For the video card, the 9800gt or 4850 will work fine, or you can spend more for the 9800gtx or 4870. But the last two will require a premium power supply, at least 600 watts.
