Too many computers on the network?

I just intalled 13 PC's on a Windows network and one of the machines is reporting "Too many computers on the network". It won't connect to the network. If I restart that machine it connects fine. I'm using a 16 port switch and Windows 2000 Pro. All PC's are sharing files from 1 PC. Any ideas?
 
I recalled something about 10 connections but I couldn't remember what it applied to. So basically in Win2k Pro you can only have 10 servers connecting to a share at one time?
 
As was said, you can only have 10 connections. Not just to a share but any incoming connection - web, ftp, etc.

Win 2k server should solve the problem, or you could close the open connections you dont need, do you have to have all the machines accessing files on the server at the same time? If not just close the connections you arent using, 10 connections for 13 machines is plenty if you dont have to be connected all the time. And if you do need more it's time to look into 2K server.

OR.... you could use linux. 1 month to learn your way around a server, and never have to worry again.
