my old gateway is just so loud, its probably the fans, but could there be anything else....can how could i tell? also, it it was the fans, if i were to buy a new one, what would i look for on the fan to see if it was quiet? THANKS
 
It could be the fans and the HDs. If you want to buy new 80mm fans get Panaflo L1As. They are cheap and pretty much the best low-noise fans around.
