I'm just really jazzed-up about THIS HERE. 😀

In short, I'm at 826MHz @ 1.80 volts. Stable as a rock. Run Prime95 torture test while looping 3DMark2001SE benchmarks...I'd say that's stable.

This is on my second rig. I just started upping the FSB...and didn't stop.

Here's some specs:

CPU: PIII-550e (no idea what "stepping" or "code") it's actually out of my Dell that I bought as my first real PC

HSF: Wanna laugh? It's a "FOXCON". Yup, stock one that came on the PIII, in the Dell. Dinky little thing...looks like it should be on a videocard. LOL! It is lapped though, and I'm using ASII.

MOBO: Iwill BD133 (Intel 815e) chipset

PS: Antec P303x (300watter)

MEMORY: 512MB of Crucial PC133 (running at CAS 2/force 4-way interleaving)

I'm at 5.5 x 150 @ 1.80 volts. Temps are 30C idle and 46-47C stressed. I'm so buzzed about this!

me\<--new to successful overclocking....used to have a KT7 chipset. No ocing at all w/that thing.
 
I remember the Celery 300's that would hit 450 and the 333's that would do 500! I still have a 300a, AAMOF, it will be going into my car PC. 🙂
 
My CPU has about a 15% overclock and I was happy with that! Well done on the 50% overclock 🙂
 
Thanks guys! I got really lucky with this chip, obviously. I can't believe it myself. I'm really itching to see just how high I can push it, but I don't want to fry it. :Q

It was very surprising to me that my 3DMark scores didn't go up higher than they did. My videocard in that box (GF2GTS/32mb) is prolly the bottle neck though. At 5.5 x 133 I got @ 2700. AT 5.5 x 150 I got @ 2900. I figured I'd get a higher score with a 150FSB.

I'm really curious as to what effect dropping from CAS2 to CAS3 and upping the FSB some more would be?

I don't know where the "CAS2 limit" on this Micron memory is yet. So far, it's been rock stable at 150. Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement. *Sniffle* I luv you guys.....in a non-biblical way, of course.

I can get crucial (micron) memory to ~165 (max I tried) @ CAS2 without memory problems. I was shaving what appeared to be processor problems, however.

I've had a Celeron 600 running at 900 for over a year now, still a great little gaming box. And I'm probably going to pick up one of those new 1.0 Gig Celeron(Tualatins) since I have a motherboard that supports it and shoot for 1.5Gig. The overclocked benchmarks on it look pretty good for a $70 chip that's considered old and slow. Congrats on the overclock. For "older" chips like ours you can see the difference. On some of these 1.5 Gig+ machines I personally can't tell all that much of a difference on most things.

Wow, you're not kidding, Parrotheader. Those ARE some very impressive benchmarks and might I add, it's also a 50% over clock! 😀 That's something though, 1.5GHz performance for 1/2 the price of an actual 1.5GHz rated chip. Cool stuff.
