Im finally getting around to doing my other pc for my bedroom over again and got the case off the floor and there was a dead cricket in it. I removed the body and the was a back leg in the corner. I went to grab it with my needle nose pliers and swore it moved and saw something come out the hole at the joint. I moved it out and closer so I can look and I say this tiny line go in and out so I grabbed my magnifying glass, nothing more then a old part from a video camera lens with a old pair of the elastic from one of my underwear hot glued to it to hold it to my head leaving my hands free. Not the most fashionable piece of equipment I have made, but when I need to solder a joint, need both hands free, and cant hold it, it works great. Anyway, moved it into more light, threw the glass on and watched, and sure as shit, it surfaced I would only guess for air. Very very tiny, see threw in color, but black like on the inside, poop Im guessing, and it goes back in the joint leaving a white substance behind.
In looking at the rest of the leg, the more meat part, it seems to be quite long for as little as it is, taking up quite the bit of the inside part of the leg. I wish I had some way of recording this for all to see. If someone can link me to the parasite I am looking at I would like to know more about what was laid into the cricket as an egg while it was alive that has hatted into what it is now, which would of killed it maybe if enough eggs were laid into it.
But cool none the less to see something like this with my own two eyes, my only regret is not being able to share this find with you all. Waiting for my two boys to come home from school so they can see this. Something they will never get to see ever again in their lifetime, at least not in person, maybe in school on tv show, but nothing like this, in this way.
