No offense taken. I though initially that this was a different model that they usually put up. The one that goes for over $100. This is a crappy deal actually. I don't even think warm is right for it. How about damn cold and not worth it to save $10 for a refurb.

Absolutely no offense to anyone, but do you really think it's neccessary to post every woot offer? There's maybe 2 good ones a week. Most of the offers wouldn't even make this forum if it weren't on woot. I dunno, just my opinion.

I agree completely. We don't need "Woot of the day" posts here. It comes off as nothing more than free advertising for them, and for what?

I'm sure there are others who appreciate it, but where will it end? Are we going to soon have ZZF of the day posts, or NewEgg's Sale of the Day, etc., etc., etc.

If something is truly a hot deal, I say post it no matter the seller. If it's just a "hey, here's what they have today", it really doesn't conform to the purpose of the forum.

No offense, Whatsmy. I know you're trying to be helpful. But can we just stick to hot deals vs. whatever they have at any given moment?

Just my 2 cents.

None taken.. I will say this... up until today.. in my opinion.. just about everything woot puts up is a hot deal. The stuff is always a lot lower than everywhere else.

This one however (and I had to edit it because I thought it was a different phone set) takes the cake as the suckiest woot EVER!!

I take a different approach. A deal may not necessary be for everyone. If I was in a the market for a phone, this may seem fanastic to me (minus the fact that Target sells this for $10 more).

Just because you are not in the market for one, it doesn't mean its not a hot deal.

Keep up the good work OP. Don't let them sway you! :)

It's not a case of "swaying" the OP. It's just a matter of whether something is a hot deal just because it's on woot.com. If we use that as a barometer, then why not post every deal at surpluscomputers, or overstock.com, etc., etc., etc.

Your own comments about the phones being $10 more at Target pretty much makes the point. Target's not selling refurbs (that I'm aware of). This is a refurb. If $10 less for a refurb vs. new makes it hot (notwithstanding OP's reassessment of this deal), then that's setting the bar pretty low.

I'm sure Woot is a fine site. My point is that there are many, many fine sites that don't get their daily offers posted as a matter of course.

Too bad it's not digital. I'm looking for a basic DSS phone in any frequency for a friend. No answering machine needed.
RossMAN, as you warned, none of those deals you posted that I tried were valid.

What's a good cheap phone for the office? Cordless sets would be nice and two sets would be great. Call transfers and hold would be needed also.

Yeah all the phone deals you posted are dead Rossman :( Then again they were all deals from like a month ago.

He missed some of the newer ones. In addition, there are some good deals on phones on overstock. There are clickable links out there for $ off too (you know where to find them :) )

Like I said.. I definitely would have not posted tonight's woot if I had thought they were these phones. I though they were re-running the ones that sold for $100+. Mea culpa.

I looked a bit on WYD until it locked up my IE, but didn't see any deals for a regular DSS phone. Looks like a I just missed some great deals on Motorola and Uniden.
