Tonight's Stargate Universe Episode [10-23-2009]...

now the question becomes if ATOT was hurtling helpless toward a star, which 17 ATOTers would you choose to save? Would we hold a lottery? draw straws? compare the size of our...ummm....post counts?

Isn't it completely obvious that its on that collision course so that it can soak up power? And what are they going to do after they go into the shuttle? Die a slow death from starvation?

I was thinking the ship was gonna refuel on the gas giant. But yeah if the ship is smart enough to find air filtration. It should be smart enough to solve its power problems.

I would give you points. But it was way to obvious.

Fortunately when in dire straits they chose to save the two most valuable members. Vanessa's giant space boobies.

And when did Chloe and the Lt. hook up? I thought she spent all her time with Eli?
And did anyone else think that after the shuttle took off and Chloe put her head on Eli's shoulder he was thinking what to say to get some going into a gas giant we're gonna die sex?

And psycho soldier turns out to be Ronon Dex in disguise!

Next weeks epi:
"Running out of food they hold a lottery to see who's on the menu"

This episode sucked because the whole thing was obvious after what happened last week. Absolutely no surprises here. They tried to create tension but since everyone knew the ship was going to recharge like that and that they weren't going to abandon the shuttle with a bunch of the main characters on it it ended up being as tense as an episode of deal or no deal.

poor eli, was gonna get him some then got blocked. result was a bit obvious, and it does explain the ships condition. i do like how the black sgt is developing, right on that edge of perfect soldier and psycho badass.

I spent the entire episode annoyed because it was obvious that it was just recharging.

Oh and senator's daughter sucks too. Why is she all over Captain Boring? I guess it's his complete lack of personality.

Dude did console her after she lost her father and let's face it, Dude is a better "catch" than Eli. Sucks for Eli, but he's kinda reaching beyond his means. Show is still young, maybe she's gonna work herself around?

I called the whole Re-Energizing scenario a weekish back. So I'm not surprised. I'm thinking that they will become far less, "OMG we're all gonna die!" from this point on. Now they can concentrate on other things, such as settling in, assigning Jobs, etc.

Show needs to get some ideas, some imagination and some charisma.
Boring as HELL right now, not even sure I can be bothered to keep going with it, I'm running our of power and they need to throw me a sun so I can recharge.

Couldn't they have stopped Destiny by dialing the stargate so that the shuttle could land instead of the slingshot idea? It's not like they have no power anymore and as far as I remember, the ship has to be stationary to hold up an active stargate. I guess that would've been too easy.

So Lt. Can'tkeepitinhispants apparently remembered to grab the condoms before escaping to Destiny.
Or else he's going to single handedly re-populate the ship.

And Lt. Giantspaceboobies seems to have no problems with her manwhore hooking up with Chloe? If that's the way she swings, perhaps she'll be giving Eli a taste o'mammaries soon to get info out of him?

Althought the most interesting relationship so far seems to be between Rush and ship.

And we now know why Sgt. Pyscho was in the brig. He punched out Telfer. He goes way up for that in my estimation.

Perhaps the finest moment of last nights episode was when Col. Young made an IOA representive cry!

Eli missed his big chance. He should have pulled a move like "I don't want to die a virgin".

Shoulda walked down the hall saying "anyone want some?"
With his luck Sgt. Psycho would have said "Hell yeah!"

yeah, they really need to get off of this 'repair the ship' theme. first 3 eps no problem, but come on we are 4 eps into the season, we should have more plot development.

I guess the question is will the "plot" be missions thru the gate like SG1 or SGA or will it be mostly ship based?
