My ISP was once contacted by the powers that be saying I illegally downloaded a Stargate Atlantis episode.Originally posted by: lyssword

I still don't see how it's any different than having a friend tape the episode and mail it to me, which I'm pretty sure is not illegal. Luckily the cable company finally picked up the Sci-Fi network, so I don't have to look for alternate means.

I thought SG1 was a little weak. I was expecting more. Still a good episode. Let us pray that SciFi comes to their senses and renews the contract. *crosses fingers*
SGA was great. I thought it was pretty cold of the Ancients just to throw them out the door like that. I was pissed at that last scene. I didn't even realize an hour had passed.
I have several friends at work who speak highly of BSG but I've never cared to watch it. Oddly enough none of them have watched SG1 or SGA. Go figure. One of them gave me all of the episodes so I can get caught up. I'll give it a try.

Well that was interesting to say the least.
SG-1: I couldn't help but get the feeling I was watching a game of D&D. You've got the average warriors, the thief, and the mage all trying to get their treasure. Overall it was only slightly above average for a cliffhanger though, this is pretty normal and you know they won't get the weapon mid-season. Once again Morena Baccarin is looking great.
SGA: Clearly SGA was at its best here. The twist of the Ancients actually being Ancients was not at all what I expected(I would assume that the Asurans would be posing as Ancients), and it was a suburb character-driven episode, especially with the separate scenes of the soldiers and the scientists saying their goodbyes. Oh, and the WoW joke may very well be the funniest gag in a Stargate show since O'Neil went golfing through the gate. Oh, and thank goodness at least some of us won't have to wait very long to see the 2nd part, since that should be airing in Canada in a couple of months.
Oh, and don't forget, next week is the start of the Doctor Who Season 2 run on SciFi. The new Doctor is certainly different, but it's a great season none the less, and it's moderately humorous that it's going to be shown next to BSG starting in 2 weeks.

yeah both were good.... i would give the edge to atlantis but i really didnt like the ending on sg1 (loved the episode until the last 15 secs.... seemed to be a copout way to end it). I would love to see the dragon stuff play out and end right as they were gonna get the device or whatever it is... and yes morena is super hot (i really liked how they weaved her in and i wasnt expecting her to be behind the whole thing.... you can also make the case now that she was the librarian the whole time and why they didnt get the map)
Atlantis was very good.... yah the ancients were pita'es but i liked the analogy brought up about going home and finding somebody there eating your food and watching your tv. It was also good to see them get their asses kicked again due to overconfidence. Maybe now when they retake the city they will work together (if there are any actual ancients left.... I REALLY hope they dont kill them all off). I want to see them discover some of the cities secrets. Which is the one sore point I still have with atlantis where we dont see any exploration of the city anymore (even though they have the layouts etc). You know there has to be all kinds of cool stuff in there not on the schematics.

thought this was only the finale for Atlantis but if you check the Sci Fi Site it seems as if friday is relegated to BSG and Dr. Who...

Uh maybe your reception got cut off or something - there was like a 10 second shot of the dragon at the end, ending with it blowing fire at the camera. Honestly though the dragon looked kinda pathetic.
nice episodes ancients defeated by over-confidence again. thousands of years passed and they expect the replicators to still be the same . I hope the writers don't kill them off though. the WoW segment was hilarious
