yeah, killing wraith is difficult because they have the ability to heal themselves rapidly. the wraith can actually live forever in this case. i believe the oldest wraith we've seen so far in the show is at least a few thousand yrs old.

SG-1 - Decent episode, but the whole bring back Baal every once in awhile, along with the obligatory one liners about his name, is getting old. Come to think of it...does it seem like they are perpetually searching for the next super weapon? Good thing there is always some renegade ancient leaving super weapons around... :p

Atlantis was a much better episode...especially the 2nd half. I liked seeing Ronin getting some hardcore revenge for his planet...even though a lot of his advesaries just sorta walked at him, and seemed to go down awful easy for wraith soldiers. The goading of the head wraith was cool though, and I liked how they shot him with a missle like that.. :D I liked his little freak out moves when he finally fights the leader, only to just get smacked aside.

I also liked the flashbacks to him fighting for his planet, and the glimpse into his character with the flashbacks of his wife, and how the leader of their world betrayed them all to escape...

Yep Atlantis was actually a very good episode if a little unrealistic (more than usual anyway) at times.

Stargate has yet to be posted... :(

You didn't see the episode where Ronin kills Kane (sp?)

Agreed, I thought SG1 was...Unsatisfying, though realistic. They got fvcking owned, and how the recoupe from it will be intersting. Seems like next week will be more outside of canon for SG1, I don't recall the Atlantis trailer.

SG-1 was okay, but I really don't think that Samantha Carter, with all her training and experience, would put the entire world/galaxy at risk over that one guy. I was totally expecting it to turn out that it was all a ruse and she had altered the database before handing it over.

meh... SG:A was great though. Far exceeded expectations!

As for SGA, I liked it, but it seemed very un-SGA. It was more like the Matrix(guns guns guns) meets BSG(interpersonal conflicts). I just hope this doesn't become par for the show. At the very least, next week we the start of the arc for SGA's new enemy facation.:)

I agree with the "un-SGA" comment. The style felt totally different, like a mix of the Matrix/Riddick/Andromeda/BSG (stylish/unrealistic action + more emotion). It was certainly interesting.

I didn't know about a new enemy faction in SGA.. will have to look that up.

i loved that thing ronon did when he attacked the big wraith. slaps his wound, slaps his chest like king kong, hit himself in the forhead with the top of his fist. then runs full speed at the wraith just like achilles in 'troy'. and promptly gets bitchslapped 25 feet.

That episode looks weird. Sneak previews I think tonight on Eureka.

"It looks like some Baals are bigger than others."

SG1 was meh alright. A little fillerish to develop future plot-points.

SGA - Finally! Ronan gets some development! As I said before, it was really kind of sucky for the show to write off Ford because of lack of character development only to bring on Ronan and not develop him beyond "I'm Mr. Badass Grumpy Caveman".

It wasn't just a lack of character development that killed Ford. They had no clue what kind of character they wanted for that position, the character and Rainbow for the position were last-minute additions.

Ok ... I'm a bit late to the party in this thread, just watched them a day or two ago.

I enjoyed SG-1, pretty typical climax/resolution, but that?s what you get with 10 seasons of a show :p. I enjoyed the 1 liners about Ball's name

SGA was very run and gun. A nice change of pace, will probably go back to the usual this week.

I enjoyed Ronin's Berserker warm up. Those crazy fskers took some crazy drugs before a battle to tweak them out and made them 100% aggressive. Ronin reminded me of that because ... well he didn't care if he died, and was going all out!! It was hilarious seeing him swatted aside after that though. :)
