Tonight's Stargate Atlantis & Sanctuary Episodes [10-10-2008]...

Too bad I saw the spoiler on who the robot guys from SGA are on youtube. But still looking forward to it.

Why is this the last season of SGA? 🙁

I want another SG series.... Right now it will have given ST a run for its money for longest continuous "universe" that has a series always airing.

Heh yeah I saw that too. While the surprise of "Who were those guys?" is gone, the surprise of "WTF are THEY doing here?" is a nice one 🙂

It was a spoiler very worth seeing.

IMO Sanctuary pretty much sucks. Amanda Tapping just isn't convincing in the role, and the show is just meh. There's nothing particularly original or interesting about it, and the acting is subpar.

I can't stand the accent.

Then why aren't you posting a link?

I finally watched the first sanctuary ep on my dvr today. Can't really comment on how the show will be as this 2 hour pilot episode seemed like all it did was take all the background info created for the series and make an episode out of it.

Check out lasts week Stargate's thread for it.

Is it me or were the Asgard ship's a bit easy to defeat?

Granted they were not their main ships since those were destroyed by the Wraith but against the ship of the travelers it seems like they would had a somewhat better fight.

I was thinking the same thing, but the Asgard that spoke to Dr. Jackson did say that they did not have the resources available to rebuild the ships lost in the initial fight w/ the Wraith, so my guess would be that they did what they could to make ships capable of hyperdrive speeds Newbian.

As much as I  Amanda Tapping, I can't get past the accent myself! 🙁

Very good SG:A episode. I wish they'd do more interconnected story arcs instead of one-offs like the next episode. I guess that traveler chick that normally deals with Atlantis is off doing a Mercury commercial or something. I think she was on a episode of Bones not too long ago.

You are correct PottedMeat, Jill Wagner was on an episode of Bones. 🙂

How did the Asgard [sp?] end up in the Pegasus galaxy? 😕

How do they explain away the idea that the Asgard committed racial suicide in the last regular SG-1 episode?

The Pegasus Asgard told Dr. Jackson that they seeked out this realm of space to continue experiments on "humans," but did not bet on the fact that the Ancients would lose out to the Wraith eons ago; in a way they are a separate "cell" that did not hold the Asgard's high council moral values Kadarin.

Ya. Ronin took it hard too. Looks like McKay's prospects are good.

Good episode, nice twist with the Asgard, hopefully "Todd" gets straightened out about it all before going on a rampage. One thing I thought should have been mentioned to the Asgard was the retrovirus to change the Wraith thingy. Seems like that would be an alternative argument to try to get them to nix the blowie up everything gadget. I find myself overlooking obvious things like that in both SG series all the time though, as it's often the only way to enjoy the show.
