Tonight's Stargate: Atlantis Episode [01-04-2008]...

Good episode. Seems like they blew a bunch of their SFX budget on this though. I'm glad they diddn't spend too much time debating the ethics of sending something/someone to their death. Diddn't expect the ending either.

I would do terrible things to Larrin.

All in all a good episode.
I think the wraith did something to the 3 on the jumper

I want more ship battles. With Nukes flying, fighters blowing each other up, and the Daedalus Class ships doing something. None of this Earth ships always getting owned because our primary weapon system always gets shut down in some way.

Apparently the Asguard aren't too bad off, to be outfitting our ships with cool new weapons.

They got killed off. No more Asgard - they left all their tech.

I think the wraith gathered intelligence from the three with anal probes. Probably a single probe used 3 times. Also probably used to check oral temperature. Yeah.

Great episode!

Larrin is hot.

New Asgard weapon is cool.

Carter b*tch slapping Ellis:thumbsup:

Fran would seem to be set up for a recurring role, otherwise I don't see the point in making her human form. I am thinking Rodney and Fran are gonna get together.

Nice twist at the end!

I can see why the writers thought it would be the fan-favorite episode. It was a blast to see the humans finally win at something.🙂

And the Asgard are dead. When they are talking about the beam weapons, they're talking about the Asgard giving them they tech when they ctrl-k'd in the SG1 series finale, which the humans have used to build their own beam weapons and install them on the rest of the battlecruiser fleet.

You know Rodney is going to secretly create Fran and her twin sister for further "research," probably with a whole new purpose programmed in 😉

MMm, she has nice assets 😀

Hmm nice episode, but why do they spell it as "Remember'd" isn't it supposed to be "Remembered"?

But the Asgard are all dead...aren't they?

They are dead, but left humanity with a database full of their knowledge to use as we see fit.

fun episode, I was expecting them to draw out the battle scene into the next episode, but it was a very pleasant surprise to see they put it in this one.

So with that twist in the end is it looking like the rebel replicators were the masterminds behind this turn of events.

Its from Hamlet.

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.--Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.

Glad Comcast added Sci-Fi HD to the lineup a few weeks ago. Atlantis looks great in HD, this episode was entertaining... Atlantis was pretty slow this season but now the stories are getting a bit better.
