Yeah, I think the main point of the episode was just to show how far apart Lex and Clark have grown. That, and to throw in a few "JLA" jokes, as well as offering some filler.

Oh well, I was still entertained.

Lois in a bikini  Not as good as Lana in a bikini, but she definitely filled it out well!!

The episode was okay, tho I could've done without the whole surferboy speech from AC.....brah!!

i don't want clark's dad to die. chloe is a fun confidant, but i wouldn't cry over the loss of her character.

he could have flown.

as you may or may not recall, clark does have a bit of flying ability as seen in season 1 when he awoke and found himself floating above his bed one morning. he also flew to the jet plane to get the stone from lex, and he flew to the windmill to save that kid from aging so quickly.

Just the way they showed it though, it's like he stood there for a second then "sprung" up onto the rocket.

But just my opinion.

Holy cow...I ask about Spike, and he's in this episode! 😛 Thanks for not tellin me :| (for those that didn't notice, he was the World History teacher).

saw this episode but never really saw the show before, so i have a question:
does clark have his own "Oracle?" who was the girl looking stuff up for him?

i love lana as much as the next guy, but lois definitely looks better in a bikini. bigger breasts and better hips.

who is spike? 😕

PatboyX: you chose a bad night to start off the smallville series. but if you liked it -- that's uplifting as this is probably one of the worst ones yet 😛

basically, the question you've asked deals with a lot of history into the development of smallville as we're watching it. clark's friend chloe (the "oracle" as you put it) has been a news editor at their high school for quite some time. she had always focused on the obscurity in smallville and the strange incidents that arose as a result of the meteor shower that brought clark to the planet. anyhow, last season, she stumbled upon clark's hidden secret -- that he is not human and has incredible superpowers. for awhile, she kept it as a secret from clark because clark never revealed it to anyone in fear of people's reactions. but this season's pilot showed that clark discovered that chloe knows his secret and now they work together, almost, to look into various mysteries that surround their town -- as a former journalist, she has access to a plethora of databases which give more insight into the mysteries, and he fights them alone (and occasionally with her as well).

In the upcoming fifth season of Smallville, Brainiac will be a semi-regular character, played by James Marsters. So far, it is known that he will appear in episodes 1-Arrival, 4-Aqua, 5-Thirst, 7-Splinter, and 8-Solitude.

there, don't miss him in another episode.
