If we're assuming that the ash was trapping either Jacob or the black shirt guy in the cabin, how were they able to get past the ash? I assume it would have something to do with the loophole, which means either Locke or Ben would have had to help, but I don't remember anything like that ever happening.

Ya, I saw her on Medium, did not care for the new hair cut. The short-thing is pretty hard to pull off. The wife on Southland actually looks good, possibly even better than when she was on 'Men in Trees'.

When Locke visited the cabin with Ben, he heard someone creepily say "help me" amidst all the things flying off the walls. I guess this must have been black shirt guy saying this?
 
does anyone remember when they showed miles' backstory, he got pulled into the van and the big guy in the passenger seat asked him what lies in the shadow of the statue and also said that a war was coming.

was that guy the same guy that was carrying the crate full of locke and talking to frank about being a candidate?
