Which still leaves open the possibility that Smokey is Jacob.

Smokey spoke to Eko, pretending to be his brother Yemi.

I forgot about that 😱 , thanks JujuFish!

Also a little tidbit that the producers told us - The spider we saw that paralyzed the Losties a few seasons ago was the smoke monster.

We should have a poll if Ben is really dead or not. I suppose he could be since the island has powers to bring dead people back to life.

Sawyer or Sayid is Jacob? Just a theory that popped into my head while watching.

did you miss a lot of episodes, it is clear that Jacob is Christian, father of Jack.

No it's not. We don't know who Jacob is. Christian has been in the same room as Jacob in the past.

Ug, no he's not.

2nd, Ben said he was "One of the smart ones, not to end up in that pit" When talking about all the dead Dharma people. One of the smart ones. He wasn't the only one who survived the purge. We can only assume ethan made it too

Locke says "Jacob has sent me to lead you" and he talked to Christian before that.
When Locke went to visit Jacob's shack, it was Christian talking to him.
Also Claire visited Jacob's shack, again it was Christian.

I agree that there's voice of Jacob different than Christian. But there might not be Jacob; it could be all Christian's manipulation.

Of course, it also seems that Christian is alive same way Locke is... after being transported dead on the plane that crashed.

Upon finding the cabin, Locke entered alone. Inside, Locke encountered Christian Shephard, who claimed not to be Jacob but said he could speak on Jacob's behalf.

Actually, Jacob look s like an older version of Horace:

The straight wavy hair. Horace also built the cabin. Along the way, Locke had a dream of Horace Goodspeed building the cabin. And Horace had a nose bleed in this dream.

Maybe the (currently) hostiles will take little Ben's body and make a smoke monster version of him and that's how the Ben we know came to be.

I just finished watching it. Did anyone catch what little Ben said when he first let Sayid go? He was talking about his father and it sounded like he said: "I really hated him (tear)". Either that or "I really hate it here". If it was the first, that would be very interesting because it would imply that he already killed his dad.

Edit: oh and great episode. I just wish someone elsewhere hadn't spoiled the ending for me.

Can someone with the video handy see what he said? Heck, I'll check tomorrow.

Sawyer is being a huge jerk, all that stuff about "built a life for myself here". What a crock 😛

You gotta to keep in mind that he has now spend more time with the Dharma people than the survivors. He also has a leadership position and some status with them. I though sayid was the unreasonable one for not playing along.

I thought Sayid was being unreasonable as well. Sawyer has been there 3 years and is now head of security, he isn't going to ruin that just to make life easier for Sayid.

Don't forget, it might not really matter what he looks like in that cabin scene, it could just be an extra until they need a real actor. Like Penny in season 2. The girl in the picture of her and desmond in episode 2 wasnt the same penny we know. they ended up adding the current penny in the photo on the dvd though

And Minjin , ben said that he really hates it here, not anything about his dad.

when did locke have a dream of horace building the cabin? anyway, I highly doubt horace is jacob. horace is an idiot lol

It was season four when Locke wasn't sure what to do next. He found Horace's corpse in the pit whcih had blueprints in the pocket.

Wow, just watched this episode last night. I had a feeling it was leaning toward Sayid getting revenge on Ben. However, I really doubt that Ben is dead......as Ms. Hawking had told Desmond in another episode "The Universe has a way of course correcting".

When I first heard it, I thought he said "I really hated him." I went back and replayed it, and I believe it was "I really hate it here."

American TV never gets the Arabic right, Sayid father was speaking Egyptian Arabic and not Iraqi Arabic God when will they get it right. But a good episode I must say, good day.

Guy who plays Sayid is Indian, anyway.

La Fleur works for Horace. Horace is actually pretty high up in the Dharma camp. And from previous scenes, it is clear that he Dharama initiative screens everyone as to use them to the best of their abilities. I doubt they would make an idiot the head of security.

I just rewatched the scene, it's as clear as day. Definitely said "I really hate it here."

they made him head of security because he was able to talk to the "others" and re-start the truce. after that incident that two others and one dharma person died.

Sayid shot young Ben!

I totally wasn't really expecting him to do that!!!

But the island will save Ben 😉

Maybe Ben will save himself when he finds a way to go back to the 70's from his present location on the Island. Just a theory. 😛

Horace is the head of it all isn't he? I haven't seen anything that makes dharma seem too smart. Obviously the scale of their operation is one thing, but how they run certain things on the island is pretty half ass, mainly their personnel being pretty dumb.
