Tonight's Lost Episode [03-25-2009]...

So, will the Lost final epi answer as many questions as the BSG did? Will the smoke monster be attributed to God???

Anyway, WHAT ARE the remaining final questions about Lost? Many have been answered like what was Dharma and what happened to it.
We know much of the weirdness of the Island is because its on a special place in the earths surface, etc.
Smokey and Jacob. That's pretty much the most interesting questions in my mind.

Oh snaps! Elite thread

I want to know more about the magic room. Jacob, too. Smokey I just figure is nanomachine cloud that got trapped on the island.
Once they let the "time travelling island" cat out of the bag, it solved a lot of the mysteries. All the early show suspense was somewhat annoying because it stretched on for so long.

The biggest question that might not be answered is "Who is the highest level mover of events in the series?". Is it Jacob (? Is it "the island" (I hear Charlie's voice every time I think of that phrase)? Is it a higher being or group of higher beings (gods)? Is it a supreme being (God)?
They probably won't answer that question, though, or at least not fully. They might pull a BSG and pass it off on messengers of some being (i.e. "angels").

Kinda minor now but I would still like to know why the numbers have those weird properties and why it gave Hurley such bad luck.

Doesn't say why, but most likely it's something built into the laws of that universe as a destructive force. It would require there to be some sort of higher level being (which is a given, anyway, considering the plot thus far) but don't know if the island itself is alive or whether it's just a tool for creation/destruction on earth. Reminds me of the question of the ownership of the objects in "The Lost Room".

im guessing it has something to do with him now being in the past, and giving himself in the future hints as which numbers to play.

so basically i think he cheated to win the lottery, if you see what i'm saying, and that is why the numbers give him such bad luck. kind of like karma.

They did say in a recent episode that the smoke monster was a security device for the temple.

Now that I think about it, Jacob is probably an intermediary. A lot of Lost's backstory is based on actual philosphies and philosphers, religions and history. Jacob was someone who wrestled with God, and saw a "ladder" going into heaven, which angels were descending and ascending on. Jacob proably is the top level agent of the island, someone that has true control of time travel, but he is responsible to someone else.

Would be kinda cool but didn't he want nothing to do with the numbers? Especially if he could do it all over again.

Then again he could be trying to warn himself from not doing it and that becomes the trigger however that adds all sorts of time paradox things into it.

Whatever happend to Libby's backstory? We never did find out how she came to loan Desmond the boat, or why she was in the institution with Hurly.
It's not like Cynthia Watros has been doing much. Her imdb page shows very little since she did Lost.
