that the same kind of thing that happened with my mom. she died and then back to life when everyone was sure she was gone... AND had normal brain function. she's perfectly fine now. she had an out of body experience (she could even tell me what clothes i was wearing whenever i went to see her at the hospital before she died) and said she saw an angel who told her it wasn't her time yet and God had more plans for her in life... she had to finish helping my dad raise my brother and me.

Did anyone honestly think that they were going to kill off the lead character of the show? Come on.

Is was only a matter of how lame they wanted the near death experience to be... And that was one of the worst I've ever seen :(

For sure. Eits glad to hear your mom is doing good.....but this show seriously jumped the friggen shark by a mile.

Seriously....so fake, so cheesy, so horribly bad. So medically piss poor it makes General Hospital look real.

They killed off Mr. Eko in Lost. i didnt expect that coming. i assumed he was now one of the main char. I put him above charlie, and charlie's still alive (for now)

Well ER did a really good job on how to handle a hypothermic patient(s) tonight. At least in sharp contrast to horrid utter crap that was Grey's...

Yeah, but Lost isn't named "Mr. Eko's plane crash" or "Charlie's Island". Grey's Anatomy is named after Dr. Grey, they aren't going to kill her otherwise it'd turn into "Sandra Oh's emotionless face Anatomy.

I always said they wouldn't kill her off. IMO, a pretty lame episode however. On another note, it's good for Meridith that her mom is dead. She was a big anchor around her neck for the past several seasons. MAYBE now she can get on with her life, and quit being such a "emo-type"...

I was upset with this/last episode. I felt it was a "cheap" way to try and tie people in emotionally and it came off as trivial and stupid. You knew they cant kill off Meredith Grey on a show called Grey's Anatomy. Plus she stopped swimming because she figured... why bother? Seriously.... SERIOUSLY... They call that good writing?

She fell what 8 feet, into cold water and didnt lose consciousness... yet Derek dove in and saved her just fine... and the guy with shrapnel in his leg made it out fine too.

Basically she tried to commit suicide, for a silly reason, and the writers came off as just being superficial and stupid.

people commit suicide for much sillier reasons than that

i didn't think it was possible either, but somehow the writers pulled it of. This was by far the worst episode of any show I have ever watched in my life. Nothing else comes even close.

never realized that. (i dont watch the show that often). never knew the show revolved around her.

so if they're spinning her off, what's the point of Grey's anatomy w/o the main star?

She didnt die... thats the point. There is no drama in the main character almost dieing, when you know they wont.

Well, they could have killed her off and just let her do the narrating but that would be lame. The good news is, Izzie Stevens is hawt.

I cant stand Ellen Pompeo and her character on the show.

I wanted her to die and then do a voice over ala Desperate Housewives.

And Dr. Shepherd is turning into a girl.

I wanted her to die too. She's my least favorite character on the show.

ROFL! I noticed that as well...Maybe since he's in so in touch with Izzy, all the baking she's been doing has gone to his waist...;)
