Kind of a big leap for Ari, but regardless, I really enjoyed that episode. The models were nice for some eye candy, but they managed to give new storylines to Ari, E and Vince all at the same time, even if 2 of them (Vince and E) are a little weak.

Holy crap Ari Gold is about to take a giant step upward in Hollywood!! :Q

I didn't really understand the conversation between Ari and Vince just before they boarded their planes. Any ideas?

I doubt they'll have Ari take the job. If he takes it there will be less conflict that Ari has to deal w/. Ari is at his best when he has to be weasly to get the job for vinnie.

If he takes the job, it'll probably be for a litlte bit and he'll quit

If Ari doesn't take the job I will stop watching entourage

my take on it is that vince doesnt really care about the money and fame (which he's stated in the past a few times). sure it's nice and all, but judging by his past choices and decisions it was more about the art of acting than looking for the big payday. a few episodes ago when he met with ari at his office and asked ari if he thought he was a good actor, and ari said he has the potential to become one and vince walked away satisfied with that answer. now with ari taking the job he wont be able to truly prove it because everything will now be handed to him on a silver platter. vince doesnt want the easy win, in an almost sick but you have to admire him sort of way he wants to work his way out of this struggle and change everyone's perception of him as a another pretty boy actor.

Damn, that black chick in the hotel room w/ Vince was fucking HOT!

Edit: Hmmm... I don't get the look on Ari's face when Vince told him they should finish what they started. Huh? Meaning Vince doesn't want Ari to take the studio head job and continue to be his manager?

I didn't get that either. I was thinking, damn Vince is going to have the choice of any movie he wants to do now if Ari accepts the position!! Oh well, I guess we'll find out in upcoming episodes.

I think it's too easy to assume that if Ari takes the studio job everything will be roses - he'll fuck it up and get himself into predicaments no matter where he is. It's just that now he'll have a corporate jet and a Audemars Piguet on his wrist :p

I hope he takes it and we can actually have an evolution in the storyline instead of it always being the same old thing with a different outfit on.

Ari was looking for Vince's approval when he told him of the offer, and going by the shocked look on his face when he didnt get it, i'd say Ari doesnt take the job

I hope Ari takes the job. I think he's gonna take it. Vince can go fuck himself.

It would be hard to imagine ari not taking the job. That's a massive step up for a man who wants to be on top of his world. I guess we'll see in the upcoming episodes.

I like that they've continued to play with Ari's character, revealing just how amazingly powerful he is (realistic or not) and now working the fact that he has potential to be even more powerful. More Power = more funny asshole? we'll see.

I believe he will take the job and that is how they will probably end the show. I think this or next may be the last season. And it would be very fitting that it ends by the "crew" breaking up:

-Ari is now the head of a studio
-Eric has his own managing business
-Drama is a network tv star
-Turtle, i'm guessing is tbd
-Vince, is in a quantum of solace

I think that's how season 5 will end - Ari taking the job.

HBO has already renewed the show for another season. A whole season with Ari as the studio head will be fun!

I agree, I think the season will end with Ari accepting the studio head position, and Vince being blah about it, therefore causing a cliffhanger at the end, and next season will be about Ari trying to sign Vince onto movies while the other crew members' careers take off and the season will be the last ending with Vince alone.

I didn't even know that Jamie-Lynn Sigler was supposed to guest star! Just watched the ep and it was pretty damn good. I love hearing Dana Gordon talk like that too ;) "Hi Dana!"

Good stuff, we've dealt with the hardships for a while now...I'm eager to see how things get fucked up again :)
