Tonight's Episode Of Dollhouse [04-10-2009]...

So what's the deal with the show supposedly going on "hiatus"? I'd like to know Fox's formula for systematically destroying anything creative or interesting they get their mitts on.

Just watched it.

This show just keeps getting better.

Episode 8 was awesome, and 9... wow thrown for a loop there.

as far as the hiatus thing... I fully expect this show to only be around for 1 season. Fox likes to put these types of shows on Friday, and that's brutal. It's a tough time slot. Any other night and it'd probably do better. The first season for these types of shows is always rough, takes a lot of effort to get new viewers to follow it. Following seasons are more successful.

Yes, blame Fox because no one wants to watch overrated TV shows.

Your sentence contradicts itself. How is it overrated if no one watches it? ""

Hiatus may refer to:
A period of time where one is on a break
A break or interruption in the continuity of a work, series, action...

I did not know awesome was defined as Eliza Dushku dressed up as a dominatrix.

I approve of this new definition and wish it to be added to the dictionary, with pics.

Edited for piccy goodness 😛

It's all about trust 😉

After missing the first 2-3 episodes I've watched them since. I'm guessing those had a whole lot of initial plot development and what not going on cause I have no idea of exactly where this show is heading.

Go back and watch the episodes on fox.com .

Very cool episode. So Mr. head of security was trying to bring the dollhouse under the control of the NSA? I don't know if that's better or worse than where they're at now. Mr. Ballard should be able to feed them some misinformation know that November's cover is blown. What, is the true mission of the dollhouse? My guess is that someone wanted immortality then realized that they could simply rule the world with this technology.

I heard it is being cancelled ( no surprise), but the worst part is Fox isn't going to air the last episode. You have to get the DVD for that.

I still watch this show even though I think it is pretty bad most of the time. I'm still interested in what happens. I think the overall premise and mystery is good but the acting is horrible and the week to week plots aren't very good most of the time.

bl4ckfl4g, where did you hear that it's being canceled? link please.

Speaking of the attic, why did that one require all the wires when the usual imprints don't?

From wikipedia
On April 9, 2009, actress Felicia Day posted on Twitter that the 13th episode of the first season of "Dollhouse," which she guest-starred in, would not air. Whedon refuted speculation that Fox was set to cancel the show, and producer Tim Minear explained that the missing 13th episode would be on the DVD. The reason Minear gave for the episode's being dropped was that Fox was counting a pilot that was reshot as part of the original 13-episode order.[20]

I saw that same quote and some discussion on it from the Whedon fan site.

Supposedly they are playing the show until the last episode which wasn't purchased. It will go on the DVD and that will be it.

I guess it is still speculation about the series being cancelled but if they were going to purchase a season 2, why would they not air the season 1 finale?
