Good episode. I'm guessing Starbuck is the Ceylon. They didn't come out and say it, but they drove hard to the Net with the idea.

I must be confused. Guess I'll spend the weekend watching last season. Damn....I had so much planned

Can't wait. Sad that it's going after this, probably the best TV scifi show ever.

Only wish Scifi channel was in HD. Caught some reruns on universal HD channel and the space scenes were beyond awesome$

This is the first year we had SciFi HD and it was fraking awesome!

Shit, I was excited just knowing that it was back on. And then I remembered we finally got SciFi HD *nerdgasm*

*minor spoiler alert*

I almost shit a brick when Ty 'shot' Adama

As did I Exterous! 😱

hahaha ya me2. Damn... I'm so happy to be back into the BSG fridays ritual that's been going on for years. Too bad this will be the final year 🙁. All good things must end though.

god dam, it's like for every time ATOT member DOESNT get laid, Baltar gets laid 😛

I want to go to a crappy ship where I'm worshiped by a bunch of sex starved women.

I hate the actress that plays the Pres so much. Her entire demeanor is just annoying and it's the same in every one of her roles

I watched the last few S3 eps that they had for the marathon, much to the ire of the wife, and it seemed that about 1/3 of the scenes took place in someone's head. Alot of the eps seemed like fillers.

Hulu is internet TV done right. I don't mind short commercials every now and then if I get to watch the shows free online.

QFT. I'm really liking hulu. I don't have cable TV, so it's either hulu or pirating, and I'd rather hulu.

Quick thoughts:

Torchwood: A beautiful season finale, capping off a season that was leaps and bounds better than the first. I won't say too much to spoil it, but it makes me wonder how S3 will start given what happened.

Doctor Who: Forget BSG, this is what I'm going to be paying the most attention to for the next 12 weeks. It'll take some time to get used to Donna being a companion for the whole season; one thing that has kept the series flowing is that naive companions allow the Doctor to explain things to the audience, and Donna isn't that naive. The first episode was very comedy-strong, I'm wondering how that will play out with the rest of the season, especially the first two-part episode where the series is usually strong on the drama. On the other hand I'm looking forward to a good foil for the Doctor's wackiness.

BSG: It's still trapped in the shadow of season 3. The opener was better than most of S3, but oh god the melodrama just drags on. It needs to break out of the S3 mold very soon, or S4 is going to end up just as bad. "Oh woe is me, I'm a cylon" isn't very interesting, that was already done in S2 with Athena.

Sadly, BSG will not go straight thru to a conclusion.
The final 20 episodes will be split so that we will have to wait for 2009 for the last 10 episodes!
Can the show hold interest with only about 10 episodes a year?

And Michael Hogan deserves an Emmy!

And a bit of trivia. Doc Cottle, Donnelly Rhodes started his acting career in 1956!

I have never seen Torchwood, but I may have to start since I have heard some good things about the series.

I too look forward to the "new" season of Dr. Who, is the entire season 12 episodes ViRGE?

The opener for Pt. 1 of S4 of BSG was good in my opinion, but I was in bit of with drawl and just having a new episode was refreshing; let us hope that they mix things up a bit and pick up the pace that we saw in the 1st two seasons.

Zim, the first season of Torchwood is terrible, you'd do yourself a favor to only watch a handful of specific episodes. The second season however is quite good.

As for Doctor Who, the season finale is 2 hours, so the entire season is only 12 episodes (well 13 if you count the Christmas episode) instead of the usual 13.

Crap. The geniuses here decided to run it at the same time as Nip/Tuck (we got it late) so I'm going to have to dual-watch both. Hope they re-run this tomorrow.

LOL, how could you possibly choose nip/tuck over BSG?

Gaius has a harem, that is a serious bonus for this season. In fact, I hope the whole season is based around him defending his harem while other males try to take it over, like a king of the hill scenario.

I agree. The miniseries and the first 2 seasons of BSG are still perhaps the best TV scifi ever made, but since season 3 the show has really lost direction and fallen apart. The writers are trying to put it back together by re-focusing on Earth, but the damage has been done.
And perhaps this has been explained somehow outside the show, but a major flaw with the whole "OMG we're all Cylons!" bit is when they made Tigh a Cylon. I mean, how did the Cylons "evolve" if he was around during the 1st Cylon War 40 years ago when all the Cylons were still "toasters?" How does that work?

I am also fairly certain that Starbuck is not the final Cylon. That would be too obvious.

It has not been explained. On his weekly podcast, exec producer Ronald Moore said that his choice of the four "new" Cylons was spontaneous and not backed up by some prewritten bible of how the story should go. That was depressing.

Of course, this Saul Tigh may not be the original Saul Tigh. I imagine he could have been captured and replaced sometime during that war to become an obviously flawed model #1, but who really knows.

The world anxiously awaits the next Ron Moore podcast for clues on what the hell is going on.

As for who the final Cylon is, it's apparently nobody in this photograph. Click on #10, the chalice, to read Moore's quote.
