Tonight's Battlestar Galactica Episode [03-13-2009]...

Obviously Adama and Kara received the information about the colony from Anders but I thought it was kind of weak they didn't show more of the conversation between the three.

Did I miss something last week? This episode they showed Tyrol in the brig during the first few minutes of the episode. Did he turn himself in?

I'm still trying to make sense of why the writers would want to throw in the history lesson with only two episodes left. It is nice to see some of their life back on Caprica but why now? Maybe it has something to do with Baltar saying this life is dying / dead and a new one is about to start.

The music that switched on the final 5 - Is that a piece they created just for BSG? If not does anyone know the name of it?

Good to see Apollo back in uniform, though sans rank insignia...

I thought the same thing when they were going over the recon photos.

The song is All Along the Watchtower.

It's most popular and well-known cover was by Jimi Hendrix

I'm wondering if the song will have some effect on the Cavil group if its played for them, like activating some programming that turns them into good robots.

yeah there really wasn't much meat at all in this episode. Someone could skip it and really not miss any major plot lines. I think the reason they are putting all the big answers in the final episode is because there really isn't that many big questions left. That and they are also going to be starting new series that might be using some of those same questions and if they give them away now, that kills the plot for other shows.

I'm really expecting them to not answer every question and unfortunately I expect them to leave us hanging on some of them.

Possibly. Even if he didn't though, they had the 8 that he killed and switched with Boomer in the brig. I'm sure they could piece it together from there if nothing else. I was also very surprised that Helo was talking to him so calmly, since he set the events in motion that led to Hera's kidnapping.

I just watched it and thought that it was sort of an meh episode. The background stuff was kind of interesting, but it seems a bit bizarre to do those flashbacks with so much of the major plotlines still up in the air.

I guess they wanted to add a little back story to explain some of the motivations of the main characters. I guess the writers must also watch Lost.

I kinda think they wanted to put a little more character back story in so we would feel empathy for the characters as they flew to their possible deaths in Battlestar Dilapdaca.

The battler's on Galactica destroy the cylon colony, and they die in the process. GG Adama.

Hera escapes with her mommy and daddy

Baltar starts a new world with his followers and the fleet.

This is my guess.

Did they ever show the chief getting arrested for what he did or did I miss something?

Also I thought they would at least have flying cars on their home worlds but it all looked like it is now or even worse technology wise. 🙁

I bet the colony is destroyed by jumping the galactica into it and baltar finally steps up and ends his life in the process.

I expected him to volunteer last ep when they kept focusing on him, right after Lee said he never did anything selfless. I guess that it was just reinforcing that Baltar won't do anything that doesn't benefit him in some way.

If you watched the original series, that's the whole point of the Baltar character. He's a sniveling selfish coward. Wasted talent.

I know Baltar will end up leading people and end up as some sort of president. But he's such a lovely human. I hate his freaking cult.

first third of the episode was interesting material that normally I'd like to see, but don't they know their is one episode left...

Chief back in the brig? Talk about someone with career spikes.

Chasing pigeons around his house, WTF is up with that one.

ugh, Athena looking a little rough around the collar.

So will Lee suit up again...

And just over one episode left, when will we get the moment where they pipe in some of the old theme song.

ah, poor little gaius decides not to cross the line.

And now the episodes over....better be a damn sweet 2 hour finale and not more suck like SGA was.

A truly dreadful "suprise" would be if it was a cliffhanger ending to be finished via a made for dvd movie.

oh, and i forget to mention the resolution of the starbuck arc...

/adama:starbuck was that true
/starbuck:yes, i even burned the body
/adama:you're still my daughter
