aaaaaaaagh, there goes Jack into the distance. What an episode! Makes me wonder what's going to happen next season. (there is a next season right?)
 
you know what bothers me... the way they played this chinese thing. i think there was way too much time invested in the chinese plot at the END of episode 24 (rather than anywhere else) instead of on marwan or the missile. the way they eliminated the missile was way too easy to the point that i'm just wondering why the heck they even bothered with it at all. it would have been better to keep the main plot consistent throughout instead of the abrupt ending it was given and then continuing with something that only arose toward the end of the season. sure, it makes you wonder what the heck is going to become of jack, but i think it ended really strangely.

he could have easily been spared identification by bern (how the chinese folks picked him up in san diego is still something i'm curious to know about) and perhaps maybe even been given the position of director of CTU once again (which even audrey supported). maybe it's just the directors' agenda for next season -- but i don't know.
 
How did they intercept the CTU agent who gave up Jack's name? I thought only CTU and Jack were aware of his location.

The Chinese had satellite footage of the chopper leaving CTU and followed it. The security officer had it set up before he went to CTU to track anyone leaving. This was explained in the car after they took Berns.

The Chinese said, that they put one of their satellites to spy CTU Los Angeles and saw the helicopter take off.

I was hooked to in january by my roommate. I saw ALL of the first 3 seasons in a span of 2 weeks or so...and now ill really miss it. wish i had patience and savored it over the summer.
 
Sorry I'm late, but I finally got around to watching 24. I was supposed to get the tapes from a co-worker tomorrow, but I couldn't wait that long. 😀 Great episodes as usual, though kinda weird that they still decided to pretend the last hour all happened in an hour. You can bend reality enough for most episodes to believe that someone can get from point A to B in the time it takes President Palmer to convince me to switch to AllState, but this was a bit more farfetched.

So Jack's died twice now. Maybe he'll go down to Mexico and call himself El Gato and we'll get 7 more seasons where he dies and comes back to life.

Hmm, next season doesn't start til January. I think some point in December I may finally order digital cable and get HDTV going. 🙂

i know he could, but that doesn't seem like much of a plot twist or anything special.
