Of course, Edgar DID bring up the fact that somebody might have killed Erin's daughter instead of it being a suicide. Perhaps Michelle has a higher power than we may think, hmmmm? ;)

I thought the first 50 minutes were boring, but the last 10 minutes were great and the last 2 minutes were freaking awesome. Can't wait until next episode. Thank god Michelle is back. They should just bring back the cast of last season (Chase and Kim and Palmer) and do away with these new characters (maybe keep Edgar).

i feel bad for Erin but she got what she deserved. she made a choice. she didn't have to be in the ready room when her daughter really needed her.

I too feel bad for Erin, but as the CTU director, she made the right decision IMO PlatinumGold :)

i disagree. but no hard feelings. ;)

What do you think Erin should have done? Step down during a nat'l crisis to take care of her daughter? I'm curious of your opinion PlatinumGold :)

i think she could have delegated whatever happened in that room (which was nothing) and taken care of her daughter. she choose her career over her daughter. i disagree with that decision.

would i have said the same thing if erin's character had been a man and his daughter, yes.

As a mother [not that I am one], yeah Erin should have taken care of her daughter, but as a Federal agent, her sworn duty was to her country IMO. Yes, it is a tough lifestyle; but it is what Erin needed to do as CTU director. Think of it as an armed forces member serving abroad; unfortunately he/she would have to distance him/herself from their family. Just my opinion PlatinumGold

ya, but to my narrow view, many people could have filled in adequately as CTU director, ONLY she could fill in as mother.

to me, that makes the decision easy.

Well if you wish to fail your country as a federal agent, so be it.

Millions of lives >>>>>>> psychotic daughter screaming and throwing KNOWN TANTRUMS AND OUTLANDISH BEHAVIOR. Unless she's shown suicidal behavior before, you choose to do your job first.

Just curious if you felt that Tony deserved jailtime for what he did last season?

Granted, I know he deserved jailtime, but Tony is a much more likeable character than Driscoll. ;)

just finished watching my DVR...

little dissappointed in this whole EMP in the building thing...i know it's just a TV show, but most of the stuff has been an attempt at realism (although somewhat weak at times) on this show...but c'mon...

you wouldn't build something like that inside your main headquarter building for the simple fact that it might accidentally go off. Given the fact that building contained a
sh!tload of sensitive data and stuff, how would a CEO even begin to think of allowing that?

did i overanalyze that too much???

and I thought for sure Paul was a bad guy....

Freaking OTA DTV Signal cut out in the last 10 minutes of the show! It came back on in a few minutes, but not in 720p, but 480p :( I had to lunge to turn on my regular TV when the image froze.

I figure they built exactly for the reason it was used. If they ever needed to wipe out critical data completly, then all they would have to do was push a button.

it was supposed to be shielded. the reason it wasn't was because they opened the shielded door on purpose.

They already said in the show that the company was developing this as a weapon that would be sold (not as a just in case thing which is how it was used)...

I thought it was awesome and funny at the same time when Jack was trying to prevent the EMP from going off. I wonder if someone has a capture of his expression when he yelled and was pulling that thing.

i agree. i liked her more and more as the season went on. it was like with chloe. i hated her at first but by the time she was asked to leave, i really wanted her to stay :(.

this episode was great, i knew it was going to be michelle coming as soon as driscol left and the secretary of defense was like "we'll have to get someone from division to take your place." i thought tony also realize what was going to happen and thats why he jumped on the opportunity, but by his reaction at the end, he had no clue it was Michelle coming in (but i did :p).

EDIT:

oh, and the whole AIM thing when tony was IMing jack was just ridiculous. that part almost ruined the show for me. i just kind of chuckled and put my head down in shame at how stupid that was...

were the nextels working after the EMP went off? I remember the nextels working... and then Paul Raines looks out the window and sees all the lights go off (hence the EMP goes off) and then i don't remember seeing the nextels anymore.

Yeah, but it's better than just some text popping up on the screen from Tony.
