Tony got a pardon. and I repeat, there wouldn't be a holocaust from 6 reactors melting down.

6 reactors across the country meltdown and no holocaust? Why do you say that JohnCU? 😕

Chernobyl melted down, and there was no holocaust. Think of all the technology and resources we have now. They can dump piles and piles of Boron (I think) over the reactor to absorb a lot of the radiation. I mean, the area around it won't be habitable, but to say the whole country will die from radiation is crazy.

1. Chernobyl's location played a direct factor in the amount of people who were killed by nuclear radiation.
2. There is less than 3 hours before the meltdown in these 6 plants.
3. I'm sure the Gulf Stream that goes across the US will spread plenty of "bad stuff" to kill many IMO.

Just some thoughts, I'm not picking a fight or anything w/ you JohnCU

1. True, only 31 people died because it was in a rural area.
2. Also true.
3. Probably.

You figure once the fuel melts into the ground and contaminates all the water supplies, I guess it could be bad. I just think of nuclear holocaust as when everyone fires their nukes and the earth goes dark from all the dirt and debri.

You're not the only one who thinks that IMO, but remember, this is on US soil and if the US were to suffer a catastrophe of this magnitude, the world will end according to the TV world 😉

Cheers JohnCU

Wow, you guys are critical of your 24 episodes 😀. This is my first season watching 24, and I'm loving it. Catching the Alienware lappy used by the bad guy was pretty funny. Pretty nice to see the eyes glowing in the shadows.

Yes, yes we are! 😱

I'm living life as a CTU agent vicariously [sp?] through Jack Bauer! 😀

Be careful with that....(I'm not paranoid...)
does tivo cut out commercials too or no ?

I don't have Tivo, but it records the entire show, you then have the option to skip/FF through commercials, the same way you would w/ a VCR rh71 🙂

I want it too... gimme, gimme!

Also I just watched the '24' cast interview on Fox5 News and was surprised the guy who plays the evil Behrooz's dad made a funny! He said in the 14th episode, his character reveals he's a cross-dresser. Hehe.

Was it me or did the guy say nu-cu-lar holocaust at the end?

heh, I thought that's waht he said...for a minute it sounded like Dubya had taken over CTU 😛

If that were the case, 24 would be a 24 minute show!

the tony part rocked. but i'm still curious as to how he got there after that happened before.

i have the 24 actual ringtone, not just the instrumental part that varies in sound (e.g. the mid that you can also find on the net has a similar sound, but it doesn't give you the 24 "feel"). my treo 650 with phone technician and powertunes plays the 24 mp3 so well 😀 best ringtone ever!

I'm just curious as to why you keep pointing to that fact. It's a TV show where the same guy has saved the U.S. in what, 4 different 24 hour spans now? This isn't realism at it's finest.

For us first season watchers, can someone give a brief synopsis of Tony's character? Don't reveal too much if you can help it, since I'd like to rent DVDs of the previous seasons.
