[tomsHardware]prices out for acer 27" 25x14 ips variable refresh monitors

The monitors have more differences also. Some favor either. Connection options etc.
The XG still uses TN film while the XB uses IPS, although we suspect that it's actually an AHVA panel, but it's still difficult to tell the difference between the two when placed side-by-side. Nevertheless, the G-Sync variant has the advantage because IPS offers better colors and high viewing angles.
However, it offers DisplayPort, Dual-link DVI, and HDMI 2.0, while the XB only supports DisplayPort. Another big difference is the response time; the Freesync-supported monitor has a response time of 1 ms compared to the XB's response time of 4 ms. The FreeSync model also has built-in audio speakers, while the G-Sync variant only includes a USB port.

$500 freesync, $800 gsync
xb does come with ergostand tho.

This was already posted in other threads by me. Its also listed directly on acer website for weeks now. The differences are pretty big, the freesync are TN panels, the Gsync are IPS. THe price is justified for lots of people.

Also the monitors are delayed for 2 weeks. I have one preordered 😀

Where are all the trolls saying "NOT SO FREE SYNC LOLOLOL" this time? The price is likely related to the difference in cost between IPS and TN. If it is IPS on the g-sync model, which is still unclear

Can't tell too much from these models, close, but different panels. I'm going to wait to see what the 390X is all about before hitching my wagon to a $500+ free sync monitor.

The Acer XB270HU
just wondering

has ULMB is that limited to nv cards only or will it work on a amd card [knowing gsync won't work]

I like the fact that ULMB kills the motion burr over the freesync-gsync features on a ips screen.

i need

- 27/28 inch
- 1440p
- 144hz
- IPS
- Freesync/adaptive vsync

is there anything out there that ticks every one of these boxes? most products im seeing are 4/5.
