Man, this guy is a complete nut. I am not an AMD "fanboy" I have never gotten angry over some petty CPU competition crap....but this guy makes it seem as all AMD users are numbskull 9 year olds. I am a proud AMD user....why? Because its a hell of a lot cheaper than Intel and 9/10 its just as fast as one that costs 100 more! Intel makes great chips, but AMD has always held my wallet. If Intel made a chip that costs the same as an Athlon, and the perf. was on par, then i would defanately have a hard decision on my hands.
Omid Rahmat has made bad articles before, but what the hell is his problem this time?

Yea that site is a joke, but have you even checked processor prices lately? If so...you would notice that AMD no longer holds the value edge over intel. If you compare a 3000 or a 3200 amd to a 3.0 or 3.2 intel...you would find the prices are almost identical.

when you say 3000 or 3200 AMD are you speaking of AMD64 or k7?

AMD64 has an inherent extra value to me, versus the Intel.

I'm not trying to start a war, or even an arguement here, just saying that that article took toms WAY down in my opinion...they had articles in the past that were bad
but this tops em all

The PR ratings are off for the K7s but actually still conservative for the A64s. The 3200+ and below are still cheaper than a 3.2Ghz northwood though.

A64 3200+ retail at newegg = 282.00
P4 3.2C retail at newegg = 284.00

Did you meant the 3200+ XP?
