Eh, I'm not sure how it kills the whole segment when the 1660Super is $230-250. We're basically stuck again for top end 1080p performance costing $280-300. Same as last year with nvidia's turing and the same as 3-4 years ago with Pascal and Polaris. If a $70 jump turns you off, why does a $50 one for the 5600xt not?
But my thought at this point is, if I'm spending $280-300 for a card, I might as well find a deal on the next rung up to hopefully get a card with some legs. I have found it amusing that reviewers and manufacturers as per usual tout 1440p 60hz as doable with these 6gb cards. For now anyway, in a year though?
Generation Upsell continues on. Where the only interesting thing to talk about is price/perf unless someone tries to justify rtx/dlss.
