Venture over there every once in a spell. They look to be getting more and more pro Intel - and somewhat negative in thier remarks about AMD.

Am I imagining this?

I don't think you are. I haven't been back in the longest time.

Maximum PC seemed to be getting that way, so I didn't renew my subscription. Not to mention the magazine was filling up with adds quicker than sheet.

You are awfully slow on the internet.

Toms has been "pro intel" since the days of the Pentium 3 and the Athlon.

I think it started before that. I remember discussions about their bias a long time ago -- got caught in some benchmarking shenanigans, IIRC.

Welcome to the beginning of time.

They did bizarro stuff like give AMD machines ass memory and intel one's high end stuff when doing their comparisons. I remember a particular article with them shatting all over AMD awhile back that seemed to get a lot of people riled up.

I was just going to say.

Tom went pro Intel back when... well, back when he started the site.

Yeah, I remember, once upon a time ago, where they would have intel rigs with RDRAM instead of putting them on a level playing field with AMD. Because "We're trying to see the best of the best here" or some such.
