You guys just wait. In about a year or less, all of the newbies will be asking "Was there really a problem with the Prescott's when they first came out?" I remember quite well how much the P4's were made fun of when they first arrived. It was funny, actually, how a 1.13 ghz PIII would destroy a 1.4ghz P4 in every benchmark. But, now that they've had time to mature, I don't see anyone complaining about them, especially the people with a 2.4C running at 3.6ghz at a 300mhz fsb!:D

redpriest/ I agree, but wouldn't take what Tom says as gospel, he tends to get a bit over Zealous if you will. myocardia, have you ever owned a prescott? From what i have seen you post, you must have? There is Nothing wrong with a Prescott chip, other than they run hotter than a Northwood, they do per say OC better than most Northys, I would like to hear of your expierience with 1.

I'd agree if it was just Tom's Hardware, but I just got confirmation from Ace's Hardware as well.

Redpriest I believe I read that on the site as well while lookign for CeBIT stuff and from I understood it was that Intel was planning to move from a C0 to D0 in order to help with prescott's heat or something along those lines.
