at least corsair caught it on their own rather than wait for customers to tell them of the problems.

AND owed up to their mistake in a timely manner.

they handled it the best way they could, short of not making the defect in the first place.

so are they going to recall the crappy SF-12xx ones too? they admit defeat to the bugs in that chipset

I am definitely buying a Force GT 240gb once I can find one on sale. :)

Too bad Corsair doesn't make mobos and video cards...

apparently no one reads much before formulating opinions around this joint.

NOTE: CSSD-F60GB3-BK, CSSD-F240GB3-BK, and Force GT are NOT affected by this issue


and you can add the Vertex drives to that list as the issues are completely different.

If it were purely firmware related then Sandforce would be able to replicate the issue and just put out a quick fix for all mfgrs to use. Obviously not nearly that simple or they wouldn't be pulling drives back in for a simple firmware fix. Nor would the other similar models be left in the market as they all surely run the same firmware.

Which leads me to.. ummm... DUH??? lol
