Well, my job of 7 1/2 years bit the dust on Friday. We've been preparing to close the building down for the last two weeks. As the Payroll/Personnel Clerk, it was my unpleasant duty to prepare everyone's severance pays, final vacation pays, pension terminations, health & life insurance terminations, etc., etc., etc.
It was really hard, watching the place you've worked for all that time being dismantled piece by piece and hauled away
But it's over now, and I can move forward. Which is exactly what I'm doing, first thing tomorrow morning. I have a meeting with Accountemps, I've been told there are two openings already, making more than what I made at the other place after 7 1/2 years
So, I'm looking forward to it, but I'm nervous as h*ll at the same time! (I haven't had to look for a job in over 10 years, it's kind of unnerving to say the least...)
