Nothing deserving of a grammy or anything, but nice solid rock/metal stuff. I'll admit it's partially a nostalgia thing.....I guess you had to be around when all the hair bands were coming out of the woodwork. ;)
I was around, hanging out at the Whiskey and the Troubador. I was in my mid-twenties. I don't know if you remember a band called Ratt, they were Motley Crue wannabees that almost made it, did make it partially. I hung with those guys during that time, before they released Out of the Cellar, and knew the guys from Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, etc. on a knodding basis. Motley Crue was mediocre but so were all the hair bands IMO. They all had a couple of good tunes but nothing sustainable. The only real successful band from that time of the LA scene was Van Halen, who got hot just before all these guys hit the scene.
You Forgot GNR whose was based in LA too. Very successful..as successful as Van Halen

Yea it wasn't that funny. I'm just hoping to insert the phrase "rich, famous, well-hung people" back into this thread as much as possible.

His statement is leading on to say that he is not a homophobic, and if he in not homophobic they we are only to assume he must be gay. I think he just got a little confused.. But we should assume because we know what that does, it make an ass out of rich, famous, well-hung people

Whereas my gut reaction is to agree, I don't think VH had an album as good as Appetite. Both VH1 and Appetite were killer debut albums that changed rock when they came out, I only have Appetite in my car. VH1 got old. I don't like any other GNR, and can't stand Axl. But Appetite For Destruction is in my Top 10 albums of all time.
