Why does Virgil say, "Maiden name was Sullivan" referring to his wife?
First off, her maiden name was Sullivan - thank you, Phyllis - her birth name was Alvira Packingham Sullivan.
But I think Virg was referring to John L. Sullivan, who was the last bare-knuckle heavyweight champ (boxing) of the world. One quote attributed to him was when he would walk into a bar and say, "I can lick any sob in the house" (which he would then demonstrate)
So I think Virg was implying that his wife was ready to go a few rounds!

I haven't seen Tombstone yet, will it be worth renting on DVD (when available)?

Sure. It's available now. But get the Vista Series version. The first one is a bad transfer and non-anamorphic (matters if you have a 16:9 TV)

So this should justify the purchase of a brand new 57" HDTV, right? :)

(at least that's how I'll convince the wife, or try)

Bah. Movie was awesome. Not sure about the series. I watched that movie so many times that I think I quote it in my sleep. Had it in VHS.

Heh, the GF uses that one. I'm still on my Sony 24" CRT. :p

LCD > CRT

Not for gaming, sorry :p I like to be able to use all resolutions. As soon as LCDs get better at scaling, I'll be all over that. :)

"Are you going to stand there and bleed, or are you going to skin that smoke wagon?"

One of the best lines ever. :D

IS it the older non flast CRT? THat's what I've got and I love it. Would like to trade up for the purple/silver flat CRT that my buddy just ganked from work that was being thrown out.

Billy Bob Thornton got treated like a bitch in that movie. Good stuff.

Doc Holliday: In vino veritas. (In wine there is truth.)
Johnny Ringo: Age quod agis. (Do what you do.)
Doc Holliday: Credat Judaeus Apella, non ego. (Let Apella the Jew believe, not I)
Johnny Ringo: Iuventus stultorum magister. (Youth is the teacher of fools.)
Doc Holliday: In pace requiescat. (May he rest in peace.)
Wyatt Earp: Come on now. We don't want any trouble in here. Not in any language.
Doc Holliday: Look darlin'! That's Latin. It appears Johnny Ringo is an educated man. Now I really hate him!

edit: love this movie! :D
