Tomb Raider Benchmarks CPU

4 core and 6 core intels perform just fine in Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider. Who cares that intel doesn't have a 30% + lead like they normally do.

The ones that might benefit from the extra boost? It would help with minimums for those with extra threads.

Yep, run it at lowest possible resolution,that is what a GTX690/7970+/680/Titan buyer will use it for. Gaming at lowest possible resolution to maximize CPU usage and brag about 300fps with Quake2 level graphics in modern games. Priceless logic.

I think they should of done it at a lower res then 19x10 even 1280x720 would of been good enough to show the cpu differences

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I think this is great that AMD is shining. Guys, if AMD keeps this up with more titles this year, Intel will start coming out with CPUs with higher clocks/ more cores etc to mainstream.

One could only hope for this, but I would not count on it. So far they have stubbornly resisted bringing out a mainstream hex core and have plenty of room to increase clock speed but haven't. Haswell seems to be more of the same. It is actually ironic that amd claims to not be trying to compete on the high end while they are pushing their chips to the max and Intel does not seem to be interested in increasing top end performance.

1- They are using outdated intel CPUs. There no benchmark for ivy bridge.

2- Games are usually GPU-limited when you play games at high resolution. Notice how the ancient i5 760 performs on par with AMD's fastest & newest CPU FX-8350

3- All CPU's tested got over 60 fps. In other words, CPU benchmark doesn't matter at all. Just buy a sub-$100 & high-end GPU and you should get a decent performance in this particular game.

Remember for S1155 Intel only makes two dies (dual & quad)

I was under the impression that all 1155 chips came from the same die.
