Tomb Raider Anniversary- Great Game

I really like this game. But I am having trouble saving my game wherever I want. I go through the correct motions, but the game simply does not save where I tell to save. It always loads from the last checkpoint instead of where I saved it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've played that game as well. And it always saved for me at selected checkpoints. I didn't know it was able to save wherever you wanted it to.

Well, I am assuming it does because no matter where I save it, it says it was saved just fine. But it really doesn't, just at the last checkpoint. Which if this is true, why have the save feature at all?

Perhaps it has something to do with finding artifacts and/or relics. By saving the game you will save all the artifacts/relics you have found (and won't have to find them again) but you won't save the location you are at. This is a console game as well which usually means there's no PC style quicksave where your location is saved as well.

Yes, I believe it is a remake. Anybody else know anything about this save feature?
