So now the question is... why did Anands KT266 perform better then Toms... and why did Anands have stability issues where as Tom didnt mention any.

So now we know Toms was setup for the better performance. But yet his still doesnt beat AMD 760 like some other did.... I for one am surely waiting for other KT266 boards to come out.

I think Toms AMD760's mobo is HIGHLY tweaked. His Sandra memory score is 820MB/s. Tell me, who got 820MB/s in here?

I am not saying Toms tweak the 760 for the sake of beating the KT266. Maybe just the MSI board just dont have enough tweaks in the BIOS so that he can further optimise it.

Dulanic,

You hit it right on the head. Tom used the beta 10 BIOS which compromise performance for stability. Anand, on the other hand, go his awesome scores using beta 9 BIOS if I remember correctly. Having tried both BIOS, I can vouch for the same results. Beta 9 has extremely aggressive memory timings, so it will crap out if the 1T command is enabled. For comparison's sake, I wish Tom would test with the Beta 9 BIOS and see how that affects the chart. But then again, he may not be able to complete certain benchmarks with it....

Tom used the Beta 10BIOS which according to Anand's results boosts stability over the Beta9 BIOS but is somewhat slower (though still much faster then the 1.00 BIOS).
Anand's scores that beat the AMD760 were from the Beta 9 BIOS.
