I have a pretty low opinion of justice, Texas style. Initially I was stunned that he got any jail time at all and three years is a relatively substantial amount, especially for someone his age and social status.
But then look at the $10,000 bond-around here that's for charges just above trivial and that's before conviction. I'm guessing the trial judge has a pretty good idea the case will be thrown out on appeal and that power and money will win out again.
