Even though Tom is a bat shit crazy, Scientologist whack job. What movies of his do you enjoy?

I just ordered Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow from Amazon. I enjoyed both movies and I've been looking at Wal-Mart for months for both these movies. Apparently WalMart does not support bat shit crazy.

I like almost all of them actually, but mostly Collateral, Edge of Tomorrow, M:I, Color of Money and Minority Report.

I prefer the younger, slightly less bat-shit crazy Cruise. So The Color of Money and Risky Business.

How do you know he actually believes that shit though? You do realize he could just be acting right? I think he has some experience doing that for a living for a long time now.

I mean if you could get a few thousand yes men with a few million yes men underlings under them to do your bidding just by acting like you still believe in some spooky shit, you wouldn't partake?

I have to say if it was me I'm not sure I could nor would want to pull it off myself, but I'm not him and I've not walked a mile in his shoes to know the details of what he's seen/knows or believes he knows.

Also keep in mind that like just about...oh....EVERY single religion EVER, it's followers pretty much NEVER believe nor adhere to EVERY single tenet of that religion. They pick and choose what to believe. Has Tom actually said he believes in the kooky spooky Xenu crap? That nonsense portion of the religion is probably just to get a tax break from the loons in BrainWashington anyway. Only someone seriously out of touch with reality is going to truly believe in that bologna. I'm not saying there aren't such loons, but that they are probably in the minority.

I enjoyed Vanilla Sky. A bit spooky though.;) Good one for Halloween maybe.

Besides what's been mentioned:

Collateral (I know already listed but I think its probably his best work)
Tropic Thunder
Interview With The Vampire
Days Of Thunder

Magnolia, and entirely despite Tom Cruise...because he's terrible in everything.

But I love that film. He happens to be in it, which is sad.

He has stood on a booster stool for many shots in his films, that much a know (because he's a midget, and it looks weird on camera when most of the world's women have to look straight down just to see the top of his head).

Is that what you mean, or is this one of those tom cruise is gay things?

Can't deny the guy has had a hell of a career so far. He's done mostly action movies but some of his best are more drama. Not too many can compare to his run.

I can't really think of one I didn't enjoy.

Let's not forget his epic cameo for tropic thunder either.

All of his movies are at least watchable. I thought Jack Reacher was mediocre, and I think the MI series is pretty bad (I think the best being MI:1 which I found to be just OK). Personally, I would like to see Tom Cruise stop doing stupid action movies that are banking on the "this is Tom Cruise, mother fuckers!" factor and see take acting roles. Specifically, the MI series. He is obviously a proven actor, but his talents as of late have been largely wasted on trying to make him into a midget Arnold.

Edge of Tomorrow is a good example of Tom Cruise doing an action movie with good acting. Definitely not his best movie, but it is at least a step in the right direction. Too bad 2/4 of the upcoming movies he has on IMDB are Jack Reacher 2 and MI:6.
