Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Steam $9.99

Thanks for this, bought two copies for some cheap co-op play. And yes, it is alot of fun, especially co-op and terrorist hunt.

Hmm, does it still have the old DRM, or is it only Steam's DRM now?

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

For all the unnecessary tasks users have to go through to play a protected game, at least they almost always get to play the game in the end. This was not the case for the digitally distributed version of Ubisoft?s Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Users who paid for and downloaded legitimate copies of the game were met with a request to insert a nonexistent game disc to actually use their purchase.

Buying unusable bits is pretty annoying, but the story gets better, because Ubisoft?s initial response was classic. The company actually provided (and then removed, for obvious reasons) a pirate-created, DRM-stripping crack as the official solution to the problem. Is it pirating if you pirate a pirate?s code?

It's still buggy. I would say it's not worth $10.

Odd, never had a crash or any issue what so ever with the game in 30+ hours of playing. I have never done online, only co-op, single and terrorist hunt on a lan but to me this game has been great.

Raven Shield was the best, and online matches were great. I saw this game and pondered the buy but I would like to get a handle on this, does anyone actually play this online? UT3 was a great game and I bought it when it came out but the disappointment was that few people played it online rather than sticking with the previous ones. Could be exactly the same thing with this game. Console players always jump to the newest versions of the game but the online community for PCs seem to stick to older versions of the game.

I think the last time I stopped playing, my AI teammates got stuck around a corner and couldn't move. I uninstalled after that.

Steam told me it would take 4+ hours to download at 512 KB/s but I ended up getting the whole thing in two to three hours at a slower download rate...huh? Oh, well; I'm not complaining. Great game, although a huge departure from the Raven Shield/SWAT 4 style of gameplay.

At work (Comcast) and it seems that I cannot get onto anything remotely related to steam (websense), can anyone tell me if this deal is still going on? I was on a dang ski trip all weekend and got back late last night.

It was a weekend deal so it's dead.

Smooth.
