With the amount of loot that drops now the playing field has been significantly leveled. The cutting the rope aspect changes absolutely nothing. If they want to cut your rope today they would have still shot you at the extraction last week. Sit there, guard your extraction, use pulse scan and a shock turret and win. Remember they flag as soon as they start cutting the rope and they are sitting there with a moving bar, basically a free rogue pinata.
And I still do not understand the mentality of "hey, I'm going to play a multiplayer game alone, by myself" then complaining about it (I don't think you are complaining) and getting mad at the fact. I'm an antisocial asshat 99% of the time and I still find people to play with. It's also human nature, and the smart thing to do, to find the weak point and target it. If that happens to be the solo player or the group of two then so be it. We didn't form society and huddle together in caves because we enjoyed each others stink. We did it to survive.
In short, for everyone, rope cutting does not incentivize rogues, it makes them targets. Group up, make some online friends. If you don't like them unfriend them and find someone new. It's a multiplayer game after all.
Apologies for my rant Paladin3.
