I dont like the DZ implementation. One thing that may help with the gankings. Allow players to join factions. The story is setup with agents working with the various factions as rogues. That way no more surprise ganks. Every knows who is friendly and who is not.

then that would perm flag PVP on the opposing faction.

:\

I just think the first rouge kill should not penalize the person getting killed.
Let him get the loot / money, thats whatever anyhow in real honesty, but the EXP... sometimes in excess of 2-3k exp per death at a higher dv lvl is painful.

Especially when its 15+ kills you need to do in order to get that back.

In all honest penalizing a person for getting PVP killed is an asshat mechanic.
PVP should not have any penality unless its the rouge agent who went on a PVP.

My friend and I managed to get through Falcon Lost challenge with two randoms. Ran three dps and one support. First try we wiped on 15 right before the plant. Second time we made it with two still up.

Having done both modes now I don't know why they ramped up the difficultly so steeply between the two. If you have 2-3 remotely decent players hard is easier than challenge missions. Challenge mode is a whole other animal, it's like going from normal to challenge missions in one jump without gear upgrades. I got lucky and got an upgrade but it's not something I look forward to running repeated.

So I'm 30 now. Is the Pakham worth buying at the start? Or should I just grind some of those hard modes for drops hoping something good will come of it.

Should I start deconstructing stuff now instead of selling?

Wait a sec. I thought you could only encounter rogue agents in the DZ area. That looks like regular in game stuff.. 😵

If you are referring to the gif, in the upper right corner you can see the DZ level, purple level bar only appear once in DZ.

Azn, you should have been mostly deconstructing already.

Oh, I've never been in the DZ so I thought it was just a regular area. All that marketing material made it seem like the DZ was an underground area.

That is my point. It removes the gankiness\annoying part of the DZ. If people want to pvp then pvp. Lets not try to force two modes together and watch as the crap storm happens.

I am not saying it is right or wrong, it does go against the intended purpose of the design behind the dark zone (it need major changes) which is to sandwich pve farming with a sense of danger from other players. I do agree that it does not work well in its current form but the idea does have potential if it could somehow be done right.

What I would like to see is more of a rogue flag instead of a pvp on/off switch. We already wear that glowing orange watch and the orange glow light on our backpack. If we were to take some lore/story tie in we could say that you have to disavow the Division and drop off radar before going rogue. In order to drop off radar and coms you have to deactivate your orange watch and backpack (the coms, gps, location stuff, not the actual piece of equipable gear). This would then create a 5-10 second window where someone flags themselves as willing to go rogue.

So, you are running around with some agents near you, you see their watch and backpack are still orange and you know you are good. You keep going and you see those little lights turn off. You now know their intention and you have precious few seconds to either run or find cover before they open up.

This would allow some form of protection from the insta get shot in back death and gank but only if you are actively paying attention. It would keep the suspense and danger in the dark zone while also preventing the people trying to grief other by running into their line of fire and allow those who actively pay attention some modicum of protection from being ran up on and shot. Then again everyone should always being paying attention to everyone and everything in the dark zone.

I would also like to see a change to matchmaking groups for the DZ as well. If you join a group for matchmaking then you cannot leave and stay in the in the dark zone. If you leave the group then you get ported back to your BoO and you cannot kick unless through a vote and the one's voting are in a checkpoint.

The darkzone and whole game isn't really designed to be played solo. I know some people prefer that but it's just not designed that way. If that is the way someone wants to play then that's cool but I think they game could do a LOT better job of protecting and encouraging people to group together. I would really like to see the implementation of Agencies/Gangs (guilds and clans).

5/4/16 State of the Game live-stream summary:

1.2 is in testing phase and is intended to be rock solid, no exact date on 1.2 - "soon"

"A lot" of bug fixes dropping in 1.2, including Reckless chest & One is None.
LOOT: Conceed they have taken the focus away from crafting, but didn't do enough to make the loot drops good enough/easy enough to obtain. Currently improving quality of HE drops.

For 1.2:

- "Be generous" with loot, in terms of source, quality and quantity of loot. They want the loot to be the "main source of upgrade"

- New DZ bracket, 200ivl+ - provides opportunity to face tougher npcs in DZ, with better rewards. "Much more really good loot" "The best quality of loot possible" "240 gear sets drops, 204 items drop." "Reduced mod drop rates, changed the weights of other drops, increase chance for weapon drops."

- All activities receive increased rewards: quality and quantity.

- Incursions will drop more loot in 1.2 (suggestive)

- All DZ brackets receive increased loot quantity and quality, in order to allow players progression through DZ to the 200+ bracket through DZ loot.

- No green or blue division tech in 200+ ONLY YELLOW DIV TECH

- Only level 32-34 enemies in dz 200+

- Hinted at improving supply drops "you will fight for the supply drops believe me."

- "The removal of bullet king and "love for PvE" will return in 1.2"

- No nerfs in all the "balancing" only buffs.

- "Buff weaker stuff, not nerfing strong stuff" - "NO DRASTIC NERFS"

- Balanced weapon talent(currently bugged) should only affect the very first shot, nothing else.

Yah, that would be great. Also have FF protection for friendly agents. The mechanics right now give rogues a major advantage. They get to fire first and don't have to watch their fire.

How often does the rogue show on the map? I sometimes see the red flashing skull. But it is not constant. Does it only show when the rogue is engaged in combat?

Some nice person last night ran me and my friend, who were fresh 30s, through the 160+ DZ bracket and geared us out.

GS 0 to 163 in 30 minutes lol.

Tried CM FL for the weekly half an hour ago. Got lucky with a decent group. Wiped on 14th wave on first try. We all figured we were unlikely to land in another good group so we tried again. Got to the last wave, server goes crazy and entire team got disconnected. We get back into the game and that first door is locked. Since no one was left in the game, we have no one to fast travel to in order to continue.

Felt like I had two options, set the building on fire or grab a water bottle from the fridge. Went with the less appealing option and on the way, caught my facial expression in the mirror in the hallway. Wish I had taken a pic.

I could elaborate on how I feel about the game now but not with language appropriate for this sub forum.

Yeah, do yourself a favor and come back to this game, if and when they actually fix all that's blatantly wrong with it. No point in playing a game that's driving you to insanity.

add to the glitches. lately my health gun won't fire. i can start to equip it then it just unequips. have to unload and load the game again. oye.

this thread has gone to sleep. also seeing less and less people on my friends list playing in game. they need to give us some downloadable content asap!

fix what exactly

I know I've said this before in this thread, but my biggest issue is the dark zone. I don't know if its cheaters or unbalancing, but on the PC version at least, I can't last more than 5 minutes in the dark zone without getting pretty much one shot-ed by a rogue agent. Its not worth wasting my time. The XBOX One version's Dark Zone is MUCH better in that regard and there are not as many rogue agents. And if there are, I can usually hold my own in a confrontation with one.

Was in the DZ last night on Xbox. Couldn't do a damn thing cause there was a group of level 90-99 agents camping out bosses and ganking us as soon as we kill the boss for our gear.
