I realize that some of you might disagree or even take offense to religion, but please, keep it to yourself if constructive criticism or support is not within your realm of capability.

I am not advocating religion or lack there of.

Simply, I am pleading with all of you to stop the rampant agression that frequents what would otherwise be a helpful and entertaining forum.

You acts of agression, cowardess, racial and religious persecution are unbecoming of anyone period, and it must stop.

What defines true greatness is respect and honor, none of which I have witnessed tonight.

Take your immaturity elsewhere; PLEASE!

EDIT:

Actually, before peopel start putting words in my mouth, THIS is waht I was talking about.[/quote]

wow. so many are quick to jump on the bandwagon of hatred for the different and are so slow to demonstrate honor and integrity

Good luck. The forums have degenerated into nothing more than a huge anti-religion, anti-conservative, anti-south, anti-diversity circle jerk. They are right, and everyone else is close minded -- period. No discussion, no reasoning, everyone else is an ignorant closed minded bigot.

I don't understand how some light humor on a serious issue is being intolerant.

Besides, anyone who's seen that episode of South Park knows that it preaches the same message as you are doing right now, so if anything, I was agreeing with you.

Goosemaster, I agree with what you have to say. It seems that any thread that deals with religion in any form turns into pointless flamewars and it's getting annoying.

humor is one thing. You have a hot wife so I won't mince words.

Southpark is one thing. some of what is said on these forums is something else. Southpark shows conflicting viewpoints with a nice neutral and somewhat beneficial Kile sililoquy at the end. the same cannot be said on here.

This is what he is talking about.

That's a battle that can't be won. You're talking about a few of the things in life people are most passionate about. While passion can be positive, it certainly has a negative side to it as well.

And that hypocritical negative side is what he is talking about. People on here are so fvcking rabid about their hatred towards the "intolerant" religious and conservative amongst other things. People on each side of the fence are closed minded fvcks, and neither will admit it.

i have no idea wtf your talking about. i never said anything about that. reason is the answer.
blah

and if you think about it, the only real way to be a good person who is part of institutionalized religion is to be a bad follower. to pick and choose the parts of scripture that still do make sense, and to desperately interpret away negatives. being that this is playing fast and loose, the fundamentalists will always have something to stand on.

wait...so proving them wrong is good?

wow, what a waste of one's life in a time that allows you to reach such greatness if you focus on other things.

huh? so intolerance of intolerance is intolerance. wow. everything is meaningless once more. of course the intolerant have to have their power limited to themselves. their stances tend to lead to oppression of all those who do not believe as they do. there'd be less of a problem if the inherently intolerant did not feel a devine need to force their beliefs on others through legislation.

Ghandi, although with different aims, showed that youdo not have to pick the path of agression to get something done.

Shaming people who say they are good people by showing how great you can be to the poor and the hungry, and you will most definitely influence the world to your favor moreso than if you attack them outright.

Wisdom should be your tool, not pride.
