Tokyo for a week

I'm going in the first week of November, it would be autumn which I heard is awesome time to be in Japan.

Any good spots to hit? Free or cheap preferably, I'm on a budget! 😉

Cheers.

rappongi district is where all the gaijin hang out. Geronimo's is a great bar run by some aussies. it was a great time when i was there.

I think Shinjuku (sp?) is the place we hung out/went clubbing when I was in Japan over the summer. Any good geek worth his salt ABSOLUTLY MUST visit Akihabra.

PS. Don't expect anything cheap there. It is one of the most expensive countries I've ever been in. Cover to get into most of the bigger places is $35. You can save money on food by dining out at the 7-11. 🙂

lols. ok ill note that down. I'm staying somewhere near Shinjuku =)

That hotel in "Lost in Translation".

1.) Go to the bar/lounge at the top.

2.) Meet Scarlett Johansen there.

3.) !!%%^!@#$!$^!#$~

4.) profit

😀

Go to Korea instead, and eat lots of interesting food for cheap.

My friend tells me he spent like the entire summer there for like $2000 including airfare and food.... food is apparently really cheap.

You can't stay on my couch, sorry 😛

If you're looking for cheap accommodations in Tokyo; Capsule Hotels and Internet Cafes both will do if you're just looking to sleep. If there's two of you, a love hotel in Shibuya can also be really reasonable during the week, plus it comes with stuff like this not to mention other... NSFW, items.

If you *really* want to experience Tokyo cozy up in a train station with a drunk salaryman who missed his last train in a sea of newspapers, totally free.
