Your opinions on the age old question of should the toilet seat be put down or should it be left up? Seeing as how there is no way to tell who will use the toilet next, my opinion is you leave it the way you finished it. IE If you put it up to take a pee, leave it up, and if you sat and pooped or peed leave it down.

We have cats so we leave it down so they will not be tempted to take a swim or drink out of the bowl.

I put the seat and lid down when I'm finished. Who wants to look at the remnants of what may not have flushed? That and I didn't put the colorful furry thing over the lid fer nuttin.

I hate it when the women say "PUT THE TOILET SET DOWN WHEN YOUR DONE!!" why should i? they never put it up for me! :frown:

It's something about smaller women falling into the toilet if they're not paying attention to the seat position.

One of the joys of being economically sound is having a home with my wife and daughter while being able to have my own bathroom. The toilet seat is up or down solely at my whim, although the maid does put it down when she cleans but I can forgive her those indiscretions. 
Up or down. Depends on what I did.
My spousal unit gave up on getting me to put the seat down when I'm done. She just checks it before sitting so she doesn't fall in. It's that simple. I can't imagine why other women can't just check it. Heck, I would never sit down without checking where I'm sitting.

I used to say "up", but now that I have a toddler I say "down".
I don't want her playing in it, or falling in and drowning. We try to keep the bathroom door shut, but she has been moderately successful at opening doors so far.
Pretty soon she'll realize how easy it is to lift the toilet seat, and flush the toilet... and flush non-flushable things down the toilet!

Depends: if you live with a bunch of guys- screw it, leave the seat however, BUT if you have to share the bathroom with girls- better make sure that seat gets down.

Once, before I had my eyes fixed and I was blind, I got up in the middle of the night to go the bathroom. I didn't bother with my glasses since I knew the way and upon first inspection of the toilet, in my blind state, the seat appeared to be down. Needless to say, I sat in and in I went. Boy did Skoorb get hell that night!

I leave it the way it is when I am done with it. If a chick complains that I have left the seat up I just start complaning that she left it down, if I have to lift it up she can sure as hell lift it back up again.... mabey my attitude it why I am still single
Demanding the seat down so they don't sit on the cold rim is the weakest argument a woman can give. What does it take to feel for a lid/seat pairing by the tank before you sit down? Lid & Seat: deploy seat. Lid only: sit. Nothing: lift lid then sit. There are not a lot of logic cases to consider.

I live alone so I usually leave it up and piss with the door open...but I have to watch myself when my girlfriend is over...once she leaves though, its back to my usual bad single guy habits.
