I buy kirkland (costco brand). They come individually paper wrapped, thats like extra paper for emergencies!

Yea, its not the softest, but I think it is a nice compromise of price and quality.

Maybe your bung is calloused from tree bark or something, tough guy, but softer paper is more comfortable to me than the stuff you find in public toilets.
