I took the wife to TGIfridays for lunch. The entire time we were there (about an hour) some jackass was yapping away on the phone loud enough for us all to enjoy the story of his entire dysfunctional family! Does anyone else think this is rude as hell? My too-nice wife had to hold me back from doing a Fred Sanford on his ass! Grrrrr!!!

I agree completely!!! I keep my phone on 'vibrate' and if I need to talk to someone at length, I go outside. People can be so rude!!:|

I carry my cell into resturants, but If I recieve a call I take it outside. There isn't any need for you other jackasses to hear my conversations :) :p

Restaurants aren't as bad. What I hate is when some inconsiderate fscktard has his cell phone going off in the movie theatre.

I have no problem with people talking in restaurants as long as they can talk quietly

you should not be at restaraunts until we have a pic of the neighbor. in fact, you should not be eating, drinking, nor sleeping until you have accomplished your mission!

for this mission, you will need a lockpick, a shower cam, and a screwdriver. you have 3 hours to complete the objective. good luck mr hunt.

No one needs a phone in a restaurant or a movie theater. I had some imbecile next to me during Pearl Harbor, and he MADE THREE CALLS DURING THE COURSE OF THE MOVIE! On the first two, he was checking messages, and they were short calls so I didn't say anything. On the last one, he was talking to someone, and I told him to shut up.

I just want a portable jammer. If I win some money and have $1000 to spend, I'll get one -- illegality be damned. :)

rant: for some reason my gf loves to take her cell phone in the movie theater and leave it on. Once the freakin things goes off in the middle of the freakin movie, SHE ACTUALLY ANSWERS IT and crouches down and starts talking!!!! I start tabing her and telling her to hang up the %$#%#^ phone. I HATE THAT. :|

I go OFF on people who have their phones on in movies... even during the previews... I have been known to get up, walk over, and stand over them until they take notice and shut the phone off. I am not crazy, but it always helps to appear that way ;)

If anyone is loud, I'll complain to the management, whether they're on a phone or not. I don't understand why some idiots have to yell into their cell phone and speak differently than they do in a normal conversation. It's not only annoying to those around you, it's annoying to the person on the other end of the phone.

Anywho, people on cell phones don't bother me unless they're in a movie theater, or other place that requires silence. In fact, even a ringing phone or beeping pager in a theater pisses me off.

Its only TGI Fridays! Geez, the place is loud already, they have great antics when there is a birthday. If you want a quiet meal, goto somewhere else. I would be royally pissed if it was in another resturant.

No it isn't. Cell phones are for using on the go. It doesn't bother me if someone is outside a restaurant talking on the phone at all.

When we went there it wasn't crowded yet and the jerk really stood out.
