With enough training, an elephant can throw a baseball faster than a human can.

Apparently this information was discovered in the 1940's or 1950's as the subject of an elephant pitching for a baseball team has been featured in no less than a dozen Disney and Warner Brother's cartoons (the most famous being a Warner Brother's short from 1954 called "Gone Batty".)

"Put some pepper on it" is a term that used to be used in baseball when the catcher wanted the pitcher to throw a fastball.

These colorful terms aren't used much anymore because the players are pretty much in a steroid induced stupor.

That's a hot dog.

It varied. Anything spicy would do. Today's over pampered sissy players would probably say something like "Put some santaka chilis in a chicken reduction topped with fresh ground red peppercorns on it!"

Or they wouldn't say anything because they don't want the batter to know what pitch you are throwing.

I wonder how fast an elephant on steroids could throw a baseball.
