What, so he should not put up solar panels just because he has a-hole neighbors that plants redwoods?

Unless you live in some draconian HOA area, you shouldn't need permission from your neighbors to use solar energy.

Yeah, but the guy shouldn't be able to ever put solar panels on his home just because his dumbass neighbor decided they had to have the tallest trees in the world on their property?

Being in a community means finding ways to live together, making sensible compromises. The couple with the trees have reasonable options, several choices of trees that beautify the property and wouldn't affect their neighbor. The guy with the solor panels has limited options.

Hopefully when those big trees are cut down they have an "accident" and they land right on the neighbors home. Whoops.
